PRESSURE PRESSURE AND & FLOW

An introduction

OEM’s Pressure & Flow Business Area markets a range of instrumentation designed to measure and control the pressure, flow and level of liquids and gases. Application areas are wide but include mobile hydraulics, water treatment, chemical industry, cooling systems etc. The Pressure & Flow area has developed close partnerships with manufacturers who are specialists in their particular field. We are then able to offer a range of standard, competitively priced components or bespoke product combinations to exactly match the customer’s application. Our aim is to provide the highest quality and broadest range of hygienic process and industrial instrumentation products on the UK market.

PRODUCTS, SERVICE AND SUPPORT THE COMPLETE PACKAGE

PARTS KITTING This added value service assists with the design and specification of the correct part for the customer’s application. The items a customer needs will arrive in one delivery package enabling a section of a machine to be built thereby maintaining an efficient production flow. Items are grouped, bagged and labelled with bar codes, part numbers or even your company logo if required. This is popular with customers offering an original spares package with their machine.

PRESSURE SWITCH SETTING To set a switch after it is installed may put the machine into damaging and/or dangerous operating modes. Many switch applications control extremes of system pressure or indicate emergency high/low pressure therefore it is often crucial switches are supplied pre-set. OEM Automatic offer a free switch setting service and can set switch points up to 400bar with hysteresis.

MOBILE PRESSURE ANALYSIS Mobile pressure analysis equipment is available from us to use at your production site or research & development areas. Installed directly into the pressure line of the machine, without interrupting normal operation, it is an effective method of viewing the system’s pressure condition during operation. This process will enable us to recommend the best pressure sensor or switch for your application. We have UKAS certified test equipment for pressure sensors and switches, producing details of the product’s performance at pre-set parameters giving fast and accurate alerts to any possible issues. This allows us to resolve any problems quickly, keeping machine downtime to a minimum.

CUSTOM BUILT After product testing has confirmed the required parameters necessary for the application we can supply pre-set flow switches and sensors or custom built level switches and sensors. All products have a vast array of options for process thread connections and outputs.

APPLIC FOOD, BEVERAGE AND BREWING Anderson-Negele has always focused on the individual needs of the food, beverage and brewing industry providing customers with suitable sensors with hygienic design. Specialising in solutions to optimise processes such as automated yeast harvesting using turbidity sensors. OEM, together with support from Anderson-Negele, can provide time and cost saving solutions for common processes such as monitoring of CIP systems (Clean In Place) or to overcome issues such as level detection in foaming media.

GENERATOR Industrial generators play a prime roll in power generation whether it is for backup or permanent supply. OEM, in partnership with our leading manufacturers, can provide products that offer a long term, problem free operation especially where oil level and pressure are critical.

MEDICAL Within this industry it is essential pressure switches, sensors and gauges are supplied cleaned and packaged suitable for oxygen use. Where oxygen cleaning is not required OEM can offer degreased parts to reduce contamination in systems such as airlines.

ATIONS MOBILE HYDRAULICS, EXCAVATORS, AGRICULTURE AND MATERIAL HANDLING

SUCO are experts within these industrial sectors and are a world renowned manufacturer of pressure monitoring products ideally suited for off-highway vehicles. From basic mechanical pressure switches through to pressure sensors incorporating CANopen, SUCO also offer intelligent pressure switches with built-in diagnostic functions. With Val.Co branded products OEM can offer bespoke level monitoring solutions which can incorporate temperature monitoring or feed and return connections.

OIL, GAS, OFFSHORE AND MARINE The harsh environments in offshore applications demands reliable, robust and safe monitoring solutions. Aplisens is one supplier we work with offering pressure and temperature solutions for oil & gas and marine applications where certifications such as DNV/BV, Exia, Exd, SIL and PED are required. They can also offer SMART sensors using HART Protocol for critical monitoring. ESI Technology can provide pressure sensors and they specialise in high pressures up to 5,000 bar with wetted parts made of titanium making these excellent with sea water.

WATER, IRRIGATION AND PUMPING STATIONS With today’s strict requirements of monitoring water systems we understand the importance of reducing costs and effectively tracking usage and flow rates. OEM has many flow solutions from GHM for water cooling applications where reliability is a key factor. OEM works closely with Tecnoplastic to provide many level solutions for grey water/sewerage systems such as pumping stations and general tank monitoring.
