SEL during Crisis
Panel about Exemplary SEL Programs
What does the brain need to grow, change and achieve? How does hot cognition ignite the learning process for children and adults? Disengaged learners cannot and will not achieve mastery in their content. Hot cognition is a learning framework that skyrockets engagement and retention. Participants will leave with an understanding of the theory behind hot, cold, and social cognition and with numerous practical tools, activities, and techniques.
How does SEL differ at each developmental age and stage? Six Seconds discusses how to grow strong SEL programs at early elementary, primary, and secondary levels. Moreover, participants will learn the Six Seconds’ learning philosophies, which deepen SEL applications at every level. As they progress in their self-knowledge and leadership development, students will master EQ skills to creatively problem solve community issues as change makers.
We will discuss coping strategies for students, teachers, and administrators.
