TEE DUBS & THE NAVY BLUES - A MODERN RIVALRY

Over the past three years on both the domestic and regional stages two names have dominated the headlines - Auckland City FC and Team Wellington. In that time they’ve met in the New Zealand Premiership Grand Final, and the OFC Champions League final with the results showing these are two sides which are tough to separate. Auckland City have dominated their Wellingtonian rivals in Oceania to claim the coveted FIFA Club World Cup berth, while Team Wellington have been consistent on home soil, taking out the Premiership title two seasons in a row.

This year Auckland City wrestled the domestic title back, and with the two sides meeting in the semi-finals, and not the final, for the first time in OFC Champions league history, perhaps a seaschange is in the air? Thanks to ACFC Media we’re able to present some of the most recent results and head-to-head record between these two New Zealand sides as they prepare for this weekend’s semi-final.
