In 1 981 , at only 22 years, Morris spent a lot of time in the underground, hanging out by himself or with the Guardian Angels volunteer anti-crime group and rode the train through all the day. He went from midtown Manhattan until the Bronx and also to Brooklyn. Concerning his equipment, he used ektachrome film and a magenta filter for offsetting the florescent lights. His pictures show diverse scenes of a normal life in the NYC underground: trains being painted with graffiti or passengers riding the train. His series invite to enter this mysterious world and the amazing thing that photography creates, is to enter a world and feel the vibes that had existed during that time. Those subway shots were unreleased and we are very happy that Morris decided to release and share them with the world.

"AROUND THE AGE OF 12, I WAS GETTING INTO FASHION/ART MAGAZINES. PRE足INTERNET, THAT WAS THE BEST WAY TO LEARN ABOUT THE WORLD WITHOUT MOVING. THEY EX足 POSED ME TO MUSIC, CULTURE, FASHION. DETAILS WAS GREAT THEN, AND ALL THE SKATE MAGAZINES LIKE SLAP AND TRANSWORLD. I ABSORBED AS MUCH AS I COULD FROM THOSE PUBLICATIONS AND IT MADE ME AWARE OF THE WORLD'S OUT足 SIDE OF MINE."

Second Stopover. Los Angeles. We thought this might interest you as well. Kanye West recently released a video trailer of his upcoming Yeezus movie. On his website you can see a little footage of his performances, promising very cool visuals for the film. We don' t know any dates yet when the film will hit the movie theaters, but we know that Hype Williams is responsible for all the filming material. We are happy that Ye chose Hype Williams, since he is one of the coolest directors ( and don' t forget he did awesome videos for many hip hop artists) .

NEW YORK

GUIDE

YOU definitely need a plan for New York City. Before you leave make sure you check out what kind of stores will be in which neighbor 足hood (you really underestimate the variety here). I am not a big fan of running around with maps and looking like a tourist, but sometimes is pretty handy to make some sketches, just to make sure that you won't get lost at the end. Be creative and pick your go足to's. We hope that you enjoy this guide. In case you like what you see, take some scissors and use it for your own trip soon.

It doesn't matter if you are a fan of BBC, Icecream or anything that deals with Pharrell Williams. This store is a store that you may have never seen before. We love interior design and a store that can tell a message. This is even more than modern marketing: this is a place to feel comfortable and dream. On two floors you can get anything from BBC or Icecream. Crewnecks, shirts, sweatpants, fitted caps, books and much more is available inside. Take some minutes to explore this little world and tell your friends that you have been to the moon.

$$-$$$

We cannot forget to mention Opening Ceremony in our guide as well. No matter if you are looking for designer labels or Opening Ceremony's own designs, everyone will find something here. Be prepared to spend a lot of money here 足 but also enjoy the cool interior or exterior.

$$-$$$

Rei Kawakubo and her famous Comme des Garcons is of course also located in New York City and you should definitely go there. In Chelsea you can find her boutique with simply everything you can ever imagine. Comme Des Garcons is quite expensive, so this store is not a cheap adventure. Again, your eyes will enjoy the shopping spree here as well.

It's not a secret: We love A Bathing Ape. So much said: The cheapest shirt is about 90$. But if you really like the label and especially Japanese design, you HAVE to go there! The staff that works there is super laid back and pretty cool to talk to, so in case you don't find anything, talk to the dudes :)

WE ALL

DISNEY

Come on who doesn't love Disney? Enter this store and you will feel like a kid again. We have to admit, this is not a store where you can be wild and spend all your money, but it's nice to enter the world of dreams and be childish for 5 minutes. The prizes are awesome, so you can really buy whatever you want to and still you are not broke, perfect, right?

There is no greater love... then...sneaker love. Fight Club is the home for many sneaker freaks, but be prepared to pay for your favorite shoe.

best one was having the craziest New Year's Eve experience ever! In short: standing at Times Squ. by noon, being moved around by police officers for several hours, got drunk, wanted to go home, left friends, so many people, cried, suddenly standing with few random people, the ball drops: Happy New Year! Found a friend, went to Subway, had a snack, already 4a.m., friend left, walked by myselfacross Times Squ. again, so empty, police officer gave me some confetti, he wrote down his wish: Peace in America! Several guys were shooting a movie there and guess what: we became friends over my stay in the U.S. :) Crazy, huh? :) T H E P E O P L E I N N Y C A R E : crazy, amazing, fun, artsy, always surprising,

morning and then taking a walk during the streets ofNew York.. be it Soho, Brooklyn or the Prospect Park, enjoy some sun, go to the Brooklyn Fleamarket, have awesome lunch at the stands there, sit by the water, go thrift shopping at Beacon's Closet, have selfmade dinner with your pals and finish the day at a rooftop party or a small concert, always be spontanuous ;-)
