Belmont is proud of its 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio because small class sizes mean you’ll benefit from professors and advisors who know you by name and take an active interest in your success. We’re also known for innovative academic programs that link classroom education with real-life experience, including majors like public health, legal studies, data science and social entrepreneurship. This type of hands-on learning is one of the many reasons U.S. News & World Report has continually recognized Belmont for its environment of innovation. Academics are important, but we believe college is about more than academics earning a degree and finding a career. A Belmont education doesn’t just prepare you for the job market; it prepares you to engage with and transform the world.

“It is hard to be far from your family, but the people here at Belmont—the faculty and staff—have become family to me. I am from Saudi Arabia, which is far away from here, about 14 hours by flight. I love how the diverse environment of Belmont gives a warm welcome for everybody. Belmont has small classes, and that gives me a chance as an international student for better communication and interaction with my professors and classmates.”
