Belmont University is proud to be one of the top private university destinations for transfer students in the state of Tennessee, and these students reflect a wide variety of interests, experiences and accomplishments. While all of our academic programs enroll transfer students, the School of Music, the School of Nursing and the Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business welcome the most.

Of course, you want to know which credits will transfer, right? Generally speaking, previous coursework is accepted for transfer as long as they are college level (not remedial or developmental), academic (not vocational/technical) and not freshman orientation or freshman seminar courses. For more information on our transfer academic policies, please visit belmont.edu/transfer.

“Belmont is special to me because it is a place that feels like home. Students are passionate about what they are studying and eager to help and encourage each other along the way. The professors are intentional about making sure each student receives the best education possible in order to fully prepare them to achieve their goals. I never thought I would be able to call a University home, but I’m glad I can do that at Belmont.”
