YOU’RE READY FOR A CHANGE Whether you’re transferring from a community college, searching for a four-year school that’s a better fit, or returning to finish a degree, Belmont University has what you need. Maybe you’re interested in one of our pioneering academic programs or you want a student-centered Christian community where you’re not just a number. It could be that you want to study somewhere that encourages you to interact with your professors inside and outside the classroom or an educational experience that asks you to engage not just your mind but your heart and your conscience, too. If you’re ready to make a move to a university that will push you to become more than you ever thought you could be, it’s time to make the move to Belmont.
S T C A F R E F S N A R T We know you’ve worked hard for every credit earned, and we will work with you to determine which credits transfer to Belmont. As a general rule, we accept credit from any regionally accredited institution as long as the coursework is not remedial, developmental or non-academic. You must have earned a “C or better in the course for it to fulfill a major, minor or general education degree requirement.
Belmont stands out for many reasons, including its 13:1 student to faculty ratio as well as having an average class size of 21 students. Those numbers mean you’ll benefit from professors and advisors who know you by name and take an active interest in your success. When not in class, our beautiful 75-acre campus is packed with opportunities to get involved. Dive into campus life with any of our 100+ recognized student organizations, or take part in one of our many campus-wide socials, movie nights and concerts. Sports fans can cheer on one of our 17 NCAA Division I teams, and all students have access to the Beaman Student Life Center, home to our campus fitness center and rock-climbing wall.

Belmont students can choose from pioneering interdisciplinary majors like Music Business, New Century Journalism, Social Entrepreneurship and Religion & the Arts. The faculty at Belmont are constantly researching and growing in their individual fields in order to create the best classroom experience possible for you. These are just a few of the many reasons U.S. News & World Report has continually recognized Belmont for its environment of innovation.
Named “ONE OF THE BEST MUSIC BUSINESS PROGRAMS IN THE COUNTRY” by Rolling Stone & Time Magazines
C OUNT THE C O S T Finances will no doubt factor into your college decision, but we’re confident that when you evaluate what you get for your money, you’ll see that Belmont is an amazing value. Kiplinger’s thinks so, naming us one of the top 100 “Best Values in Private Colleges.” Belmont’s cost is consistently less than the national average for private colleges, and financial aid is awarded to 74 percent of students. That all adds up to a one-of-a-kind education at a competitive price.
A native of Egypt, Marleen and her family moved to Nashville when she was six years old. After starting her college career at a large state school, she transferred to Belmont and quickly found her place, serving as Student Director of Campus Events as well as joining student government and the psychology club. Her willingness to jump in and get involved has made all the difference. “Grades are important, but the social component and being part of what makes Belmont Belmont is really important, too.”

Off campus, Abdelnour works with a nonprofit focused on youth advocacy and interns as part of a work-study program. “Seeing my bigger community helps me to focus on things bigger than myself.” She has also discovered a newfound love for biblical studies. “My New Testament class taught me to question the Bible but at the same time strengthened my faith and beliefs.”
E L L I V H S A N N O I T A N DE S TI Study at Belmont and you also get the benefit of all that Music City has to offer, including professional sports teams, live music, museums and a broad range of outdoor activities. Our status as the state capital means Nashville is a business hub, too, which comes in handy when seeking real-life experience in the way of local internships or post-graduate jobs.
