Scholarships & Financial Aid ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS Your application for admission serves as your application for merit scholarships. Complete your application file by Dec. 1 for consideration for the University’s most competitive and highest meritbased scholarships. General freshman academic merit scholarships do not require the Dec. 1 deadline and are considered on a rolling basis. These scholarships range from $3,000 to $10,000 annually, and scholarship notifications are made via email for students living outside of the US.
FINANCIAL AID The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine eligibility for institution and federal need-based financial aid opportunities, as well as for state aid for Tennessee residents. A P P LY: Belmont Online Application or the Common Application Supplemental Items: Belmont must receive all documents officially. Transcript: A formal credential evaluation of your high school and/or college transcript is required for any student who has completed their education outside of the United States. Evaluations must be course-bycourse, contain a GPA (grade point average), official, and sent directly from the evaluation company to Belmont. An evaluation from an NACES accredited evaluation company will be accepted. If you have attended an American high school or college, request that official transcripts be sent from the school directly to Belmont. Counselor Recommendation: Provide the Counselor Recommendation to the appropriate person in your school’s counseling office. If your school does not have a school counselor, a teacher or administrator may complete the form. (Freshman Applicants Only) ACT/SAT Scores: Belmont will be test optional for the 2022 admissions cycle. If you choose to report test scores, please request official score reports be sent directly to Belmont from the relevant testing agency. English Proficiency: While Belmont is test optional for applicants applying for 2022, Non US Citizen applicants must satisfy one of the English language proficiency requirements listed on our website before an admissions decision can be made. These options include TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, SAT, Duolingo, and more.
