SPRING 2019 COLLEGE OF VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

O’MORE SCHOOL OF DESIGN In 1970 Ward-Belmont alumna Eloise Pitts O’More founded O’More School of Interior Architecture and Design. On February 13, 2018, Belmont announced the acquisition of Franklin, TN-based O’More College of Design, bringing new programs in fashion and interior design as well as fashion merchandising, to campus. O’More’s graphic design students integrated into the existing design communications major in the Department of Art. By joining forces with O’More, the design offerings of the College of Visual & Performing Arts were expanded to provide majors in fastgrowing industries. The O’More School of Design offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree with majors in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising and Interior Design. This expansion broadens the artistic diversity of our creative community. This growth creates unique opportunities for interdisciplinary collaborations across campus and interesting regional and national student internships.
