Benefits were of major importance. The location was important because Nashville is close to my family in Indianapolis. I love the city and the entertainment around here. The work culture and diversity were important to make a well-balanced environment.
“The remote and flex schedule made my refusal to work in Nashville (I live an hour away) a game changer. I would not have been able to take the job without it, no matter how much I wanted to be at Belmont. I still have an entire life and family who need me at home. Not having to choose between family and work is pivotal in fostering a great work environment.”
—JAKIMA SMITH, COLLEGE OF MEDICINE MEDICAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR
—COLLIN SONDERMAN, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT
“I also love the culture of being encouraged to work from home a few days a week. This allows me to reduce commute time/ environmental impact and get some mental clarity of my job while in my home environment.”
—HOLLY RANDA, ASSESSMENT & EVALUATION COORDINATOR, COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
“The collaborative environment and the sense of community we have here is something I could feel even during my job interview.”
—DR. FERNANDO LIMA, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ARCHITECTURE, DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL FABRICATION
