AN EVENING OF MOZ A RT A ND BRA HMS Join the Belmont faculty chamber ensemble for a concert two of music’s most celebrated composers. The program will feature Mozart’s Viola Quintet in G Minor and Brahms’ B Major Piano Trio. S E N IOR CAPSTONES I N REP* Black Box Theater All graduating BFA Theatre majors are required to present a Senior Capstone project designed to help the student transition from Belmont to professional life. Students select a project to produce, direct, design or perform as well as oversee all aspects of the production. This spring, four Senior Capstone productions are being presented. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for faculty, staff, senior citizens and non-Belmont students, and free for Belmont students.

BIG LOVE* Fifty brides flee their fifty grooms and seek refuge in a villa on the coast of Italy. Mayhem ensues when the grooms catch up with the brides. This modern re-making of The Suppliants by Aeschylus raises issues of gender politics, love and domestic violence. A LOVELY SUNDAY FOR CREVE COEUR* The encounter one Sunday morning of four women — a Southern-belle teacher awaiting a call from the man she hopes to marry, her German roommate, a fellow teacher and a distraught neighbor — illuminates the meaning of loneliness, compassion and compromise. MARY’S WEDDING* Beginning on the evening before her wedding in 1920, Mary dreams about meeting her beloved Charlie, falling in love, receiving his letters from the World War I trenches and his life as he experiences the horrors of battle. TROJAN WOMEN: A LOVE STORY* The play by Euripides, set in the modern world, in which we see Troy in ruins, and a world reduced to such disarray and anguish that it will never recover again, but will, instead, spread death and disorder out into the world in all directions. 18TH ANNUAL MUSIC CITY SHOW SHOPPE A nationally recognized show choir competition hosted by the Belmont University vocal show ensemble, Company. February 23–24

WIND ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL hosted by the Belmont University Wind Ensemble is an invitational event for high school bands. The 2014 guest conductor is Dr. Edwin Powell of Pacific Lutheran University. The Middle Tennessee Christian School Concert Band will perform on Sunday, February 23 at 3 p.m. followed by the Belmont Concert Band. The McGavock and Rossview High School Wind Ensembles will perform on Monday, February 24 at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Belmont Wind Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. All concerts are in McAfee Concert Hall.
