Home Away From Home Step onto Belmont’s campus and immerse yourself in your new home away from home. Your residence hall community will be your first introduction to faces you will recognize for years to come. Movie nights, dorm-wide socials and active residential staff will help you build strong relationships with your fellow residents. Conveniently, all of our freshman residence halls are located just a short stroll away from Harrington Place Dining, which offers more than 900 seats and a wide assortment of food options, including an allergy-free station. But the Caf isn’t your only on campus food destination. You can also grab a smoothie from Freshens, or a cappuccino from our on campus Starbucks. Plus, retail options like Chick-fil-A, Burrito Bowl, Einstein Bros. Bagels, and our very own Corner Court can satisfy your needs for a quick meal or snack. •

“There was a moment in my first year here that made me say ‘This is my place and these are my people.’ I was just sitting at the Caf with my three best friends—my random roommate from the Facebook page, and our random suitemates who came from Texas and just became my family. I’ve never had sisters, and now I have three.”

Get Involved Community will be the foundation of your journey at Belmont, and it can begin with Towering Traditions, a vibrant orientation program led by current students. TT, as we like to call it, will connect you with student leaders who are excited to welcome you into life as a Bruin and can help you find kindred spirits. Speaking of, we offer a club or organization for nearly any interest or activity— from gardening to flying kites. Participating in student orgs enables you to meet others with mutual hobbies, passions and aspirations. Campus activities from Food Truck Fridays, outdoor student shows and campus-wide book clubs also foster community. For those looking to nurture their spiritual life, there are plenty of ministry options across a multitude of denominations, while Greek Life provides students an outlet to get plugged into a community while serving a philanthropy. If you’re looking for friends who like to hike, fellow student entrepreneurs or peers with similar career aspirations, we’ve got a student org for that! At Belmont, we believe that when we come together to combine our strengths and passions, amazing things happen. Belmont is a community of purposeful change-makers who are equipped and eager to make their mark on the world.

Bruins for Life #ItsBruinTime isn’t just a fun hashtag. It’s serious business around here. Belmont studentathletes are leaders in their chosen sport as well as through their classroom accomplishments and community service. It’s easy to be a fan of these teams, and with the Curb Event Center, our brand new tennis facility and nearby E.S. Rose Park serving as home turf for most of our sports, it’s a breeze to check out a game any time of year. Plus, students can attend home competitions for free! And did we mention that we have the best mascot on the planet?

Sarah Maninger JOURNALISM

LOS ANGELES, CA BELMONT VISION, DELIGHT MINISTRIES

“I think the moment I knew I was at the right university was around spring midterms. It was one of the first sunny days on campus, and everyone was out on the lawn. I was walking around, most likely on my way to get a coffee, and even in the midst of studying for exams and writing papers, I felt so relaxed because of how much joy and energy there was around Belmont that day.”
