How to add Skype contacts - Mac The first thing you need to do once you’ve installed Skype is add some contacts.
Simply click “Add Contact” and type in your contact’s email address or name. You can also search for someone by their Skype name. After that’s done, click the green circular button next to their name to add the person to your list of contacts. Remember though, they’ll need to accept your invitation before you can call or IM them over Skype.
You can use Skype to make internet calls, video calls and send IMs to other Skype users for free.
No Emergency calls with Skype Skype is not a replacement for your ordinary telephone and can’t be used for emergency calls.
