The week of events now kicks off with Warchant. SpearIt Night, Renegade Recess, Skit Night, and Parade are the events that follow throughout the week. The week culminates with Pow Wow, which is the largest pep rally for Florida State. The most popular event of the week, the FSU football game rounds out this amazing week of events!

Homecoming at The Florida State University is rich in tradition and pride. The first Homecoming was held in 1948, which started off very simple. The Parade was held on Saturday morning, followed by the biggest game of the year that afternoon. The week concluded with a dance. In 1950, the first theme for Homecoming was introduced: “FSU All the Time.” Throughout the late 90’s and early 21st century the week was expanded. In 2003, Skit Night and Warchant were introduced to the schedule. Homecoming has become more popular each year with students, turning into what it is today.

The Warchant is a concert kicking off Homecoming festivities. This concert encourages students, faculty, and community members to enjoy great music while collecting charitable items to serve the Tallahassee community.

Seminole Showdown is a quiz bowl that tests students’ knowledge of the history and traditions of FSU. Any FSU student can participate.

The Homecoming Parade allows loyal Seminole fans to line up along College Avenue to see amazing floats, athletes, the Marching Chiefs, community members, and so much more!
