TRACY DAUGHENBAUGH

Kenton Operations Supervisor

Tracy Daughenbaugh is the Kenton operations supervisor at Mid-Ohio Energy. Tracy is a huge asset to our team, and has worked for the co-op for more than 27 years!

As the Kenton operations supervisor, his daily jobs include planning and supervision of line maintenance and rebuild projects, coordinating new services, staking lines, ordering materials, and managing work orders.

Tracy joined the cooperative’s team after nine years as a lineworker at Vaughn Industries. He worked as a lineworker at the co-op for an additional nine years before accepting his current role as Kenton operations supervisor in 2006

In his free time, Tracy enjoys collecting items such as glass paperweights, Beatles collectibles, and even insulators.

To help you get to know more about the employees that work to keep your lights on, we asked Tracy a few questions:

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? An astronaut. I grew up during the Apollo days and it was fascinating to watch.

What is your favorite quote? "Don't worry, be happy!"

What is your favorite candy bar? Kit-Kat

What has been the biggest change from the time you started at the co-op?

The safety has changed by leaps and bounds, and continues to improve. All aspects of the job are safetybased, from the tools and protective gear to get the job done to programs, training, and safety meetings.

What is your favorite part of working at Mid-Ohio Energy? The people I work with and the diversity of the job. It can be a tough job and those things help you get through!
