As the daughter of a dentist, Judy Bendit was born and raised in a dental office. She has over 45 years of experience in dentistry as a clinician, author and speaker. She serves on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she is active with the alumni board. She also serves on the advisory board for the dental hygiene program at Palm Beach State College. Judy is a member of the CAMBRA coalition, American Academy of Cariology, and American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Oral Health. She is a longstanding member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.

During his residency, Dr. Coleman was privileged to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Coleman is a faculty member at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine where he serves as a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Department of Periodontology. Born in Oregon, Ohio, Dr. Kyle Jackson grew up along the shores of Lake Erie. He completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Toledo. Continuing his education, Dr. Jackson was accepted to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He received his Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry after a two-year residency at Children’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Jackson began practicing at the Children’s Medical Center in Dayton in the early ’90s where he held the position of Director of Dental Services. He is member of several dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and the Dayton Dental Society. On top of the many dental organizations, Dr. Jackson has also been involved in Christian youth ministry for 30 years. This passion has given him invaluable experience working with children through his service in the church. Dr. Paul Levi graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York in May 1962 and entered Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in September of the same year. After graduation from Tufts in 1966 he accepted a General Practice Residency (internship) in Burlington, VT. The internship furthered his interest in medicine and specifically in periodontology. He was allocated to the US Navy and served as an officer at Great Lakes Naval Training Center in North Chicago, Illinois for two years, where, because of his Tufts training, Dr. Levi was assigned to be the periodontist for the recruits. While in Chicago, he met and married Patty J. Nichol in 1968, and following two years in the Navy, they moved to the Boston, Massachusetts area where he completed postdoctoral periodontal training at Tufts under the mentorship of Dr. Irving Glickman. At the completion of his specialty training in 1971, Dr. Levi practiced periodontology in Burlington, Vermont for 49 years. He began teaching dental school at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1994 and at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2003. Matthew Messina, DDS
Matthew Messina, graduated first in his class from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1987. After graduation, he completed a general practice residency at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. A practicing general dentist for 30 years, he has also served as a visiting faculty member at the Pankey Institute for advanced dental education in Key Biscayne, Florida. Dr. Messina is the Clinic Director of Ohio State Upper Arlington Dentistry and is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry. He had served as the Interim Director of the Dental Oncology Clinic of the James Cancer Center at OSU since 2018. Dr. Messina is recognized nationally for his presentations on communications, as well as his lectures on leadership skills that allow dentists to provide optimal care for their patients. Kene Miller is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and has over 30 years of experience as a dental laboratory technician, manager and educator. Retired from the US Navy after 20 years, attaining a CDT in both removable and fixed prosthetics and digitally trained. He earned a Master of Science Degree from American Military University, a Graduate Certificate from the University of Alabama, a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and an associate degree from Columbia College. Thomas M. Paumier, DDS
Dr. Tom Paumier is a cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry class of 1987 and completed a GPR at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He has been in private practice in Canton, Ohio since 1988. He is on the faculty of the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital GPR in Canton and is a Fellow in the International and American College of Dentists. Carl Wells
Carl Wells is a Lead Service Technician for the Patterson Dental Mid-South Ohio Branch. Carl has been in the service industry for more than 40 years. While in the field, Carl is responsible for repairs, equipment installs, x-ray QA’s and compliance issues. In collaboration with his team, Carl provided his expertise to help roll out the new branch Preventative Maintenance program for MidSouth Ohio Patterson Dental. This program is proving to be a value-added service which helps the offices protect their investments, increase productivity, and reduce downtime. Carl’s professional philosophy is understanding the longevity of a good relationship that he has with each of his customers. He also makes it his top priority to ensure that the service he provides is at the highest level.

Dr. Young is a Professor Emeritus at the University of the Pacific where he is an active and ardent educator in the field of minimally invasive dentistry and cariology. He currently works for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium as a specialist in oral health promotion. He was one of the founders of the CAMBRA (Caries Management By Risk Assessment) Coalition, American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Cariology Section, and the American Academy of Cariology (AAC). Dr. Young served on the ADA Council of Scientific Affairs (2012-2016) and is currently a member of the ADA Evidence-Based Dentistry (EBD) Leaders network and a cariology consultant for the ADA. Dr. Young has presented at congresses and universities around the world. He has been published in numerous peer-reviewed dental journals and textbooks focusing on minimal invasive dentistry, Silver Diamine Fluoride, glass ionomer, and Caries Management by Risk Assessment.
