TAILOR & BARBER SHOP In the menswear market where ready-made clothes were mainstream, This tailored suit is attracting attention again.

Tailored suits which had the image of "old" are now highly valued. With this, I borrowed the Barbershop, which is emerging as the area of men. I want to design a shop in shop.

SITE ANALYSIS & TARGET 4-7 Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul Hannam-dong, located near Itaewon, has a lot of embassies of many countries and many foreigners living there. In Itaewon, there are old Tailor stores and large size clothes shops. But they couldn't attract attention because of the food business.

Hannam - dong, near Itaewon, started to attract attention as a new playground. Clothes shops with young customers are also emerging here. New Tailor shops are also emerging here.

Young talented Tailors gather in Hannam-dong. Now they are leading a new trend.

2030 MALE FORME New words made up of the first letters of Health (For health), OPH(One), Leisure(Recreation), Convenience(More-convenient), Luxury(Expensive). ‘for me’ refers to a group of values-oriented consumption style that invests heavily in values such as health, leisure, and self-development.

USER SCENARIO & CONCEPT US, YOUTH is a tailor and barbershop for young men.

Here he dresses up and gets his hair trimmed. It is a space where conversation and pleasure come and go with a simple drink with friends who come together. Tailor and Barbershop have a traditional and profound atmosphere.

MINIMAL CLASSIC expresses a fresh and restrained feeling to old-fashionedness. It is a design concept for young men and represents a classic that is not excessive.

BRAND DESIGN The image representing the tailor shop and barber shop, I sketched the figure of a young man with one line.

‘US’ means shop in shop and ‘YOUTH’ means young guys.

DESIGN PROCESS &SKETCHES I set a restrained classic in the design direction. I made the glass box of the gold frame the motif of the design. it represents a precious and luxury.

I wanted to express the speciality of a suit by displaying the elements of it in a frame.

DESIGN PROCESS &SKETCHES I wanted to express the characteristic of the tailored suit. I got inspired by the fabrics that are piled up. This design method highlights the features of a custom suit. It fits into a fitting room where tailors measure dimension and modify for many hours to make a suit for clients.

MEN’S TAILOR AND BARBER SHOP

SUIT DISPLAY It is a space where customer can see the personality of the designer by browsing the display suits and check the trends. The exhibition room is used bright black wallpaper to match the gold frame.

I put only one suit with shoes for each wall to pay attention to customors.

FITTING ROOM & MEETING ROOM it is the space where a tailor checks the size of the customer's body and confirm the suit.

After change clothes, the customer goes out to the stage in front of the mirror so that he could talk with his friends sitting on the couch.

COUNTER & BAR It's in the middle so, all the customer can come and have time there.

The concrete wall means a bar, and the black wall means a front desk.

I put the brand logo that represents the shop on the main wall and put the indirect light.

BARBER SHOP It is a space where men trim their hair. I put a comfortable sofa and table so that they could stay with their friends.

I matched pictures and a clock to mix the minimalism and the vintage at the barbershop.

The plane left wall was decorated with molding to mix a classical atmosphere.
