Mrs. Lancry completed her Masters degree from McGill University and currently works as an Experiential Education Coordinator for a Jewish Day School and is an Assistant Camp Director at Camp Dina. Capitalizing on the idea that spiritually and physically happy children engender happy parents, our stellar program raises the universal barre for teen hotel programming, certifying it truly monumental!
For the past twelve years, Rabbi Yaakov Jacknis has been the eighth grade Rebbi and program director at Yeshiva Aharon Yaakov Ohr Eliyahu located in Los Angeles, California. Recently, he was promoted to S’gan Menahel at the Yeshiva. His charismatic personality, Torah knowledge, innovative programming and huge heart have endeared him to his students and their parents alike. His shiurim for adults are likewise inspirational, informative and inclusive.
During the summer, Rabbi Jacknis continues his leadership activities. He is currently the head counselor of Camp Yedid Nefesh, a teenage boys camp in LA. Previously he was head counselor of Camp Heller/Bei Kyta in upstate New York for eleven summers. Rabbi and Mrs Jacknis live in the Hancock Park area with their six children.

Basya began directing backyard camps at the ripe age of eleven, and has been creating and directing programs ever since. Coming to Ohr Naava with 10 years of teaching experience followed by four years of experience building and managing a very busy and growing business, Basya brings a unique combination of passion and professionalism that will ensure your teenagers have a Pesach experience that is meaningful as well as memorable. Basya understands the needs of teenagers today,
and has the ability to connect with them in a way that makes them feel understood and appreciated for who they are. Basya’s fun-loving nature coupled with her ability to coordinate and direct high level programming make her an exciting addition to our team.
Tobi Goldfeder was born and bred in Chicago, IL and has a variety of experiences working with teens and programming. Employed as a social worker, teacher and program director for frum youth throughout the year, she is excited to be joining Ohr Naava for Pesach. Lending her talents to over a dozen Jewish schools and organizations in different aspects, her roles have ranged from teen camp director, college professor, seminary dorm counselor, Shabbaton programmer, and frum DJ. Tobi is most passionate about instilling frum teens with positivity towards their Yiddishkeit, is always up for fun and makes sure all those around her are having a great time!
Teen programming is not continuous throughout the day, rather we offer a number of organized activities at specific times. Tanya Rosen, owner of renowned Nutrition and Fitness by Tanya, who will be offering both food for thought and fun, effective workouts for your body. Look out for classes such as Sunrise Boot Camp on the Beach, Spin, Aqua Aerobics and Pilates. Make sure to join Tanya for stimulating talks on topics such as Emotional Eating, Kids and Health, Busy Women, Myths and more. You’ll also find Tanya’s Tips and Suggestions at our Health Bars and she will be available for personal one-on-one sessions. Tanya has opened ten branches of Nutrition by Tanya across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as one in Jerusalem. She has a Master’s degree from Brooklyn College as well as a number of other certificates such as nutrition, sports nutrition, and pre- and post-natal fitness.
