I am M. Yandró. “M” referring to Michelle, “Yandró” referring to Gendreau. Genwhat? There hasn’t been a time that a person gets my last name right. And I don’t blame them, even I wrote it bad creating my snapchat’s account. I’m not french and I don’t intend to be, so why shouldn’t I mutate my name into a Mexican one? I’m M. Yandró and I create art out of words which I merge with photography. I formulate a poem and then I melt it together with an image that expresses the same essence than the poem. Of course that words can tell a story by their own, but I believe that photography is an effective complement to introduce the reader into a whole poetic atmosphere. A lot of times I have been called a “weird” person, but I cannot tell exactly why. The only curious fact about myself, I think, is that I use my socks backwards every time.

Surrealist Photography
Phenomenal artists
Oleg Oprisco is a photographer from Lviv, Ukraine. He is one of the few photographers that shoots using old school film photography, which is a really unique quality now a days, this means that everything in his dream-like settings had to be created that way, as it couldn’t be done digitally.

I strongly advise to use your time wisely. Laziness is your worst enemy. Enough looking at photographs taken by your idols. You have commented on enough work that you hate. It´s time to take photos. Your best photos. Let go and...
shoot, shoot, shoot!

Since my childhood I´ve always loved to draw. Then I decided to go to College of Art and Design and it was one of the best choice in my life.
When and why did you start tattooing? My husband Pavel Dovgal gave me a tattoo machine as a gift three years ago and of course i did my first tattoo on him. Up until now I continue tattooing Pavel.
How does it feels to know that your art will exist forever, or at least for a long time, on someone else´s skin?

When did you realize you wanted to be an artist?
It’s a great pleasure to understand that people trust you. And also I am glad that they come back to me with an idea of a new tattoo.
Who/what is your biggest inspiration? Flowers and natural patterns. Also I like to travel . New places, new people and new meetings inspire me a lot. Now just came back from Rome, Italy a city with beautiful architecture, great history and sunny weather. I enjoyed it a lot.

After looking at your instagram we do realize that your passion is traveling. Which has been your most special trip? The last trip to the USA has been the most special. I realized how different our world is and I would like to visit more places. Now I´m planning a big tour around Europe but I hope I can visit the USA again. There are many places were I have never been and I am ready to explore.
Do you have a favorite book? Which one? “The Master and Margarita” by Mikhail Bulgakov.
OW
Do you have any advice for young arists? You shouldn’t be afraid to do something new, don´t be someone else´s copy and try to find your own style. Be yourself.
Finally, can you describe yourself in 3 lines. It’s difficult to describe myself, I have asked Lesya, my friend and a member of Sashatattooing Team, and she described me with 3 words: responsible, cheerful and fair.

Experimentation its a priority in my work. To play around with all the process and material, its how the new ideas start. We had a big influence of the pop culture of the 90’s and the latin culture but at the end of the day my work gets really personal about themes that I like to approach in different seasons.
What has inspired you in your life and why? I had a big background of media pop trash culture, I spent hrs in front the tv when I was young, and on the internet in my teenage years. Anything/anyone could inspire me.
If there was a movie about your life, who would play you and why? Jesse Metcalfe, I wanna look hot af at least one in TV lol.
If you were a box of cereal, what would you be and why? Trix, always has a fun cover art.
How would your best friend describe you? Fun and moody.
If ohwau was going on vacation, where would you recommend us to go? Oaxaca, México.
If you were a cartoon, who would you be? Doreamon.
What is your favorite friday night plan? Get dinner and drinks with my besties.
Do you have any advise on young designers? Be optimist and build your team…. its hard to work alone in fashion, it’s a really demanding carrier.

FIONNA FERNANDES
OW
Hi, My name is Fionna Fernandes. I am a young and budding illustrator from Sydney, Australia. My illustrations are epically colorful, bright, and full of fun patterns. I like cats, unicorns, ice cream and the 90s. I am a huge fan of Disney movies and would love to go to the original Disneyland in California one day. Childhood influences like Lisa Frank, Super Mario and My Little Pony inspire my work. I draw distinctive fashion portraits that are fun, playful and energetic. I enjoy stylizing the lips, hair and eyes of my female characters. My illustrations have extra flourishes of pattern and color, lending my work a unique style.

If love were a fruit, what would it be? If love were a fruit it would be a mango. Mangoes are yellow, symbolizing the joy of love. The sweet taste of mangoes expresses the purity and wonder of love. Mangoes grow on trees, embodying love as flourishing and lively. The juiciness of mangoes represents love as exciting. Mangoes are also sticky, signifying that love can be messy at times. In India, Mangos symbolize eternal love and are known as ‘fruit of Gods’.
3 Things that make you be who you are right now? I have been drawing and creating since I was young. I would always doodle during class and make tiny animal sculptures out of blue tack. I was very passionate about visual arts during high school and went on to study Visual Communications at University. Through my course, I learnt about illustration, where all my electives were Illustration related. Ever since I have been motivated to draw everyday and develop my visual style. I developed my unique style by experimenting with vibrant colour combinations, expressive mark making patterns, and combining digital and hand generated elements. Early visual styles I experimented with were psychedelic and oriental, which eventually developed into the aesthetic I have today. I practice drawing whenever possible to constantly develop my illustrations. After graduating at the beginning of 2015, I decided to make a website and Instagram account to showcase my illustrations. I gained a following and online presence on Instagram, where people began to contact me for freelance work.
If you could be an animal for one day, what would that be? If I could be an animal for one day I would be a cat. I love cats for their elegance, intelligence, independence, and beautiful eyes. Cats are calming and peaceful, especially when they purr or snuggle up against you. It would be wonderful to be a cat so I could relax, sleep and laze around all day!
