Project work will entail working with other electrical engineers as well as some independent project work, primarily on small scale projects. Duties: Work in a support role to other engineers on different aspects of their projects. Complete basic power study to quantify energy usage within the plant. Support developing OPC data redundancy solution within the plant. Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be an Electrical Engineering student entering his/her senior year, though candidates entering his/her junior year will be considered as well. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and AutoCAD. Ability to report in a clear and concise fashion. Must have a strong work ethic and be highly self-motivated. Duties: Perform property measurement on film samples using automated testing equipment. Evaluate film properties results with objective of known variables. Perform statistical analysis of results using software tools to determine if there is any finding of correlations. Create periodic reports on progress of project and present to department. Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be a chemical engineering student in his/her junior or senior year. Strong computer skills and proficiency with manipulating data. Must be proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Experience with statistical analysis preferred. Fundamental knowledge of material science preferred. VIDEO EDITOR / VIDEOGRAPHER INTERN Internship Description: Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent environmental causes of breast cancer by advocating for research and public policy change, and by community education. In 1994 when it was found that Cape Cod has a breast cancer incidence rate 21% higher than the rest of the state, MBCC lobbied the legislature for funding to found Silent Spring Institute (SSI), a scientific research organization that works to identify and break the links between environmental chemicals and women’s health, especially breast cancer. The unpaid MBCC Videographer/Intern will assist in the creation of filmed interviews with Silent Spring Institute researchers, MBCC Board Members and other individuals in the fields of environmental health and breast cancer prevention. The position would begin immediately and while length of stay is flexible, interns must commit to at least 15 hours per week. The videographer must be willing and able to travel to and from interviews and filming locations (travel is not compensated).
