WELCOME to Daughters Conference 2023 Friends!
This year’s theme is POWERFUL – “Daughters ARISE and BE Healed!”
Our Society currently has high levels of Anxiety, Depression, and Loneliness. What’s Bothering YOU? There is no shortage of things! Do you Need Mental, Physical, or Emotional Healing? We serve an On-time God!
Our core scripture passage (Malachi 4:2): “But for you who fear my name, the Son of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings, and you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.”
A 3-pronged Approach:
Friday, September 15th – Session 1 @ 2pm – Susie Purkey will lay a brief spiritual foundation for the conference, followed by a panel of spirit-filled professionals, to help weigh in on this much-needed topic related to Mental Healing and Wellness.
Session 2 @7pm – Reneé Moore will emphasize Physical Healing. She was MIRACULOUSLY healed of a traumatic brain injury at the age of 3, and doctors didn’t give her parents any hope that she would ever be normal. She will share her healing testimony and discuss How God Still Heals Today!
![](https://assets.isu.pub/document-structure/230905181735-d1b21326fe1b4e78b5b55ac01d49b0a4/v1/99e978948b430f0a1ac3bf4804a0cd32.jpeg)
Session 3, Saturday, September 16th @10am – Dr. Jodi Detrick will emphasize Emotional Healing and Recovery, giving her personal backstory of the recent physical challenges she has experienced with the loss of eyesight in her left eye due to an accident and present: How to stay emotionally well, while believing God for breakthrough and Healing?
We understand many aren’t healed instantaneously when they pray. What steps should we take as believers to tackle fear, doubt, and unbelief with respect to Healing? We would like women to pursue God in the altars - for any kind of Healing or Miracles they need in their lives.
How to Heal
Imagine a sick person who won’t tell anyone about their symptoms. Without help, getting through their illness would be challenging. Whether they need help from a doctor or just someone checking to see how they’re doing—it’s much easier to heal with the help of others.
Similarly, when we don’t tell anyone about the challenges we’re facing, it can be hard to work through them. Sometimes we do things we know are wrong, but we don’t tell anyone about it simply because we know it’s wrong. This is because we’re all affected by sin—our wrongdoing and brokenness that separate us from God. It can be hard to share our wrongdoings with others, but when we keep our sins to ourselves, we’re like the sick person who won’t ask for help—we suffer in isolation rather than allowing others to help us heal.
James 5:16 tells us to share our wrongdoings with other believers so that we can heal together and pray for one another. When we share our past mistakes with someone, we are released from isolation. And when we pray together, we give God the opportunity to heal our hearts. God is our healer—He saved us from the eternal consequences of sin through His Son Jesus. And because of Jesus, we have access to a relationship with God, and we can bring our requests to Him and trust that He will hear us.
If you’re struggling with something today, take some time to share it with a trusted believer. Allow them to pray with you and ask God to guide you as you heal. Our experienced Elders will be present with anointing oil and prayer. (James 5:13-16)
Friends, I am “Stoked” for another Outpouring of God’s presence and power this year! Thank you for Coming!

Reneé Moore has served as a full time evangelist for more than 24 years. Traveling 45 plus weeks a year, she ministers to various congregations, denominations, and groups of people across the United States and overseas. At the age of 3, Reneé suffered a traumatic brain injury resulting in a near death experience. She was healed 17 years later from debilitating seizures, a miracle verified by doctors, and reported by the Pentecostal Evangel. Healing Touch Ministries was birthed as a result of the victories and adversities Reneé has experienced in her own life, and is a ministry God is using to bring physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to hurting people from all walks of life. Born and raised in an Assemblies of God pastor’s home, Reneé has experienced the fires of Pentecost, both past and present. Throughout her ministry, she has seen authentic miracles of healing and hundreds baptized in the Holy Spirit. She is passionate about mentoring the younger generation and her unique style of ministry is helping to bridge the generation gap in the body of Christ. Reneé preaches the Word of God with a depth of anointing that is both compassionate and uncompromising, stirring the hearts of believers and bringing them into a fresh encounter with God. As a true revivalist, Reneé ministers under a strong, prophetic mantle, delivering a very accurate, fresh, “right now” word to the body of Christ. Reneé makes her home in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She is credentialed with the Assemblies of God and is founder and president of Healing Touch Ministries, Inc, a ministry committed to “Touching the World One Heart at a Time” with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jodi Detrick believes you should never leave home without a loaded Starbucks card. But she’ll risk it for one of her great passions in life…to connect others to a God who loves them and created them with breathtaking potential! She’ll pile the miles on her SUV and even battle her fear of flying to get to the conferences, retreats, and special events where she’s been invited to speak for various groups and denominations. After many years as a pastor’s wife, in 2001, Jodi’s ministry call led her to the Northwest Ministry Network, where she served as the Women’s Ministries Director until 2009. She also served as the national Chairperson for the Network for Women in Ministry from 2011 to 2013. And just to ensure all the neurons in her menopausal brain kept firing, she earned a D.Min. (Doctor of Ministry degree) in Leadership Studies along the way. A recent test confirmed it…Jodi has ink in her blood! Her articles have been published in various Christian periodicals, including Enrichment Journal, The Christian Reader, Focus on the Family Magazine, and many others. Her stories and devotionals have been included in books such as Christmas in My Heart, Stories for a Teens Heart, Night Light for Parents, Think Missional, and Love Revealed. In addition, for many years, Jodi served as a regular religion columnist for The Seattle Times, one of America’s leading newspapers with 1.8 million readers. Her book, The Jesus-Hearted Woman, was released in 2013 and is being hailed as a must-read for women around the world who want to use their leadership gifts to influence others in an enduring and endearing way. One of the things that put a gleam in Jodi’s eyes these days (besides her husband, Don!) is the satisfaction of being a certified personal coach and watching her clients get “unstuck” in some area of living. But if you really want to see her do cartwheels (figuratively speaking, of course!), just get her talking about her kids and three grandgirls, Lilia, Libby, & Mira! Be forewarned: picture viewing is non-optional! Loving Jesus, loving people, living passionately…throw in a Starbucks latte, and that pretty much says, Jodi!
SPANISH TRANSLATION: Thank you to, Pastora Miriam Anahy Garcia. She is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God. She and her husband Joel are Lead Pastors of Iglesia Nueva Vida, Pryor, OK. They have 2 beautiful children. *Anahy (Pronounced ANA-Ê) is a member of our Oklahoma Women’s State Leadership Team, and is our Hispanic Women’s Representative.

Daughters Conference 2023 Healing Scriptures:
AOG Constitution - 16 Fundamental Truths: #12
12. Divine Healing – Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Attonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4–5; Matthew 8:16–17; James 5:14–16)
The 30+ scriptures listed below are the basic verses God gave us for healing of the human body. If you are fighting disease in your mind or body, read each of them aloud daily. They will form the spiritual foundation for your healing.
Malachi 4:2
“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.”
John 5:15
“The prayer given in faith will heal the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.”
Jeremiah 30:17
“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.’”
Exodus 23:25 NIV
“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.”
Mark 5:39-43 NIV
“He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep. ”
But they laughed at him .
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him and went in where the child was.
He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).
Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old).
At this they were completely astonished. He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this and told them to give her something to eat.”
Mark 5:34 NLT
“And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Luke 8:48 NLT
“Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
Luke 7:50 NIV
“Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Matthew 15:28 NIV
“Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.”
Isaiah 58:6-8 NIV
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loosen the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear. then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.”
Isaiah 53:4-5 NIV
“Surely, he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities. the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Psalms 77:10-12 NIV
“Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. I will remember the deeds of the Lord. yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.””
James 5:16 NIV
“Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Matthew 11:4-6 NIV
“Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
Matthew 12:15 NLT
“But Jesus knew what they were planning. So, he left that area, and many people followed him. He healed all the sick among them,”
Proverbs 3:7-8 AMP
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil. It will be health to your body [your marrow, your nerves, your sinews, your muscles—all your inner parts] And refreshment (physical well-being) to your bones.”
Luke 9:42-43NIV
“Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father. And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.
Exodus 15:26 NIV

For they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s (woman’s) whole body. “
Matthew 8:2-3
“A man with leprosy came and knelt before him, and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. “Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing, “He said. “Be clean! “ Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
Matthew 8:16-17
“When evening came, many who were demon possessed, were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.
This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”
Matthew, 18:18-19
“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my father in heaven.”
Mark 11:22-24
“Have faith in God, “Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your request to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. “

Day 1| Anchor #1 ~ It is a matter of Trust
Isaiah 40: 6- 8
6 A voice says, “Cry!”
And I said, “What shall I cry?”
All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.
7 The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.
8 jThe grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever .
> Why should we not trust our flesh (feelings, emotions and other things that are outcomes of being bound by flesh)?
> Why should we trust God’s word?
READ the following scriptures out loud and let them seep into your mind.
Isaiah 40:11-
11 He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span,
enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?
13 Who has measured7 the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel?
14 Whom did he consult, and who made him understand?
sWho taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?
15 Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust.
16 Lebanon would not suffice for fuel, nor are vits beasts enough for a burnt offering.
17 All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.
18 To whom then will you liken God, or what likeness compare with him?
19 An idol! A craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and casts for it silver chains.
20 He who is too impoverished for an offering chooses wood that will not rot; he seeks out a skillful craftsman to set up an idol that will not move.
21 Do you not know? Do you not hear?
Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in;
23 who brings princes to nothing, and makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness.
24 Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows on them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off like stubble.
25 To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these?
He who brings out their host by number,
calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing.
27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, iand my right is disregarded by my God”?
28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is jthe everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; khis understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;
31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
These verses talk about the power might and capacity and ability of God to save. In times of trouble we must know we don’t rely on a lifeless idol, but a true and mighty God. As you read, what are some characteristics of God stood out to you that gave confidence to your heart about God’s capacity to bring you out of anxiety?
In v. 27 God questions Israel (and us too) of their accusation that God has disregarded them (As in left them alone) and hid his way from them. How does God answer that accusation? What does His answer mean for you and I?
Meditate on v.31 and write it out in your own words. This is a gr eat word to memorize
> What is your biggest takeaway from today’s reading? How will you put it to use in your life this week?
Day 2| Anchor #2 ~ It is a matter of Training
Our thoughts are like airplanes coming to land in the airfield of our mind. Media, news, and outside input are all as airplanes. You are the air traffic controller! You decide which thoughts land and get to deplane their contents. Most of the battle is won by not letting thoughts that diminish the power of the word of God, or other lofty things that raise themselves against the knowledge of God to land. Paul talks about that in the below scriptures.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 6 being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
7 Look at what is before your eyes. If anyone is confident that he is Christ's, let him remind himself that just as he is Christ's, so also are we.
> What are the weapons of our warfare? What is the only offensive weapon in our armor?
> What is the power of our weapons against thought strongholds that hold us captive to anxiety?
> How do we practically destroy every argument raise d against the knowledge of God?
> How is obedience made complete in our thought life?
BUILD YOURSELF IN THE MOST HOLY FAITH
Jude 1:20
17 But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They6 said to you, In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” 19 It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
Ephesians 6:18
Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
Colossians 2:7
rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith as you were
taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage and build one another up, just as you are already doing.
> Building ourselves up in the faith is a protection against anxiety because it takes our “Me Focus” and puts our focus on God and others. Reading the scriptures above, what can we surmise about the method and the actions involved in building yourself up in the faith?
> What is your biggest takeaway from today’s reading about training your mind? How will you put it to use in your life this week?
Day 3| Anchor #3 ~ It is a matter of Transformation
Romans 12: 1-2
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies bas a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world,3 but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
What does it mean to not be conformed to the pattern of this world?
What are we supposed to do instead of being conformed to the pattern of this world? What does that mean in practice?
Romans 6:16
Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness?
Romans 8:14-15
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
How does belonging to God protect us from slavery to fear?
Contrast Romans 6 and 8. One person is a slave to God and another is a slave to fear. One way of another there is an idea of being bound to another as a slave. How is being a bond slave of Jesus Christ different from being a slave to fear?
Memorize: 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Meditate on the above word. What does God’s declaration of power, love and sound mind mean for our anxious thoughts?
> What is your biggest takeaway from today’s reading on the transformative power of meditating on the word? How will you put it to use in your life this week?
Day 4| Anchor #4 ~ It is a matter of Thanksgiving
Psalm 95:2
Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him in song.
Psalm 100:4
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
> What happens to the person involved in Thanksgiving in these scriptures? What place do they enter?
> What is the significance of God’s gates and courts?
Psalm 82 (TLB)
82 God stands up to open heaven’s court. He pronounces judgment on the judges.2 How long will you judges refuse to listen to the evidence? How long will you shower special favors on the wicked? 3 Give fair judgment to the poor man, the afflicted, the fatherless, the destitute. 4 Rescue the poor and helpless from the grasp of evil men.
5 But you are so foolish and so ignorant! Because you are in darkness, all the foundations of society[b] are shaken to the core. 6 I have called you all “gods” and “sons of the Most High.” 7 But in death you are mere men. You will fall as any prince for all must die.
8 Stand up, O God, and judge the earth. For all of it belongs to you. All nations are in your hands.
Reading Psalm 82, what happens in the courts of heaven?
Knowing what happens in the court of heaven, and that thanksgiving helps us enter there, why would it be important that we practice thanksgiving when we are anxious?
> What is your biggest takeaway from today’s reading about thanksgiving? How will you put it to use in your life this week?
Day 5| Anchor #5 ~ It is a matter of Travail
Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
What is the outcome of travail in Galatians 4:19?
Luke 18:1-8
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
> We talked about the travail of labor and how we must travail in prayer. The idea of travailing is the same as the idea of persisting in prayer before God when our realities do not match the revealed word of God in the Bible. Read this parable of the persistent widow who would not quit until she was answered and write down principles you learned from her story on travailing in prayer. How can you put these to use?
> What promise is Jesus making here about God’s justice system? V.7-8
May we stand before God like this widow and persist and insist “Grant me justice against my adversary,” until our good and perfect judge hears our pain and labor of travail and grants us justice and freedom.
A STORY OF HEALING
Janette Perryman Maxwell jmaxwell@my.macu.eduI believe in the calling of God on my life so strongly that I must answer the Holy Spirit’s nudge and share my testimony with you, the ladies of the Oklahoma Assemblies of God. My name is Janette Perryman Maxwell. I live in Oklahoma City with my husband of 28 years, Bill, and our three fur babies. I have been an Oklahoma AG Preacher’s Kid my entire life, and I’m proud of it! This is my second year as a school counselor in Moore Public Schools and my 22nd year in education. I am working to obtain my second Masters, a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health, from Mid-America Christian University. Following this, I will become a Licensed Professional Counselor. However, I was a mental health patient before I became a mental health professional.
I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 in the spring of 2003. I have had it all my life, but this chemical imbalance became more apparent and dangerous in my late 20s and early 30s. By the time I was 30, I had attempted suicide three times. At 33, I was hospitalized for the first time. Following this, I continued to have episodes about every five years. By 2015, I had been hospitalized three times. When my family and I realized the interval between crisis moments was about five years, we continued praying for my complete healing but also began praying against my five-year bouts. Giving all glory to God, I have not had an episode or hospitalization since 2015. I will be eight years episode-free in October.
My family and I pray daily for my complete healing. In turn, we also trust, obey, and thank God for my daily healing through a balanced regimen of meds my psychiatrist has helped establish and maintain. We believe God has called us to help those who face mental health challenges and educate the church on this subject. We feel a consistent conversation on this topic must start and continue among God’s people to better understand the whole body. The church must be a spiritual hospital for the whole person and their brain, just like the heart, an organ that manages the whole body.
God’s call on my life to be a counselor validates my testimony. I desire to walk through whatever doors He opens to share my story and minister to those with brain health challenges. I want to educate those who don’t grasp the intricacies of the brain. I want to emphasize to the church the importance of knowing more about this subject--whether seeking healing and/or understanding to help the hurting.
In these last days, we must work together to build God’s Kingdom and prepare for His impending return for His Bride. Ministry to the whole body, mind, soul, and spirit is the key to accomplishing this. If I can assist you and/or your church, please get in touch with me. In addition, my family would be willing to come and speak to groups that need ministry and/or mental health training. May God bless you and yours as you are faithful to the Lord in all you do.
