Abuse, abandonment, and addiction defined Bryan’s early life. After meeting Jesus, God’s grace not only dealt with his sin, but also began to heal the hurts of his past. This experience with grace forged in him a passion for broken people. Northplace Church’s vision to “invite the uninvited” and pursue “forgotten people in forgotten places” is strategic and intentional… born out of the experience with grace in his personal pain. Pastor Bryan serves in leadership roles in multiple universities, missions’ agencies, church planting networks, and global financial institutions. He possesses a B.A., an M.A., and an earned Doctorate. He is an author and sought after speaker, both in the U.S. and internationally. In 2015, he and Haley founded Lonesome Dove Ranch…a place of healing for abused children and a place of rest and resourcing for America’s small town pastors (lonesomedovetexas. com). According to Bryan, his most honorable professional title is being called “Pastor” by the great people of Northplace Church. Pastor Bryan is married to his high school sweetheart. He and Haley have three young adult children; Cadyn is married to Madison and serves on the pastoral staff at Northplace Church, Gavyn is in business management in the Dallas area, and Addisyn will be attending Southeastern in Lakeland, FL this fall.

Session Three RURAL CHURCH PANEL Jason Byers Jason Byers has served in ministry with the Oklahoma Assemblies of God since 1999. Presently, he and his wife, Brenda, have led Barnsdall Assembly of God since the summer of 2014. Together, with their two sons and daughter, they feel called to serve their small town and aspire to do the best they can with what they have, where they are with God’s help. Jason also presently serves as presbyter of the west Tulsa area and enjoys working with other small churches.
David Bright David Bright has served in various ministry positions for over 30 years. However, David says his current role is the most exciting of all. He and his wife, Mindy, planted Granite Station Cowboy Church in July of 2017. God has placed a desire in David to reach every rural community in America with the gospel of Jesus Christ. David’s greatest passion revolves around mobilizing new pastors to meet the growing demand for Rural America.
Jeromye Jackson Jeromye Jackson and his wife, Angi, have served as Lead Pastors of Stroud First Assembly since March of 2006. After 28 years of marriage and ministry, they are still in love with each other. Their call is to reach the lost, least, and last in their community and disciple them to be fully devoted, Spirit-filled followers of Jesus. Jeromye has served six years as Section 6 Presbyter. The joy of their life is their beautiful daughter, Emily, a Junior at Stroud High School.
Charlie Newman Charlie Newman started his ministry in a Christianrock band 25 years ago with a hunger to win the lost on a six-and-a-half-year tour of Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. God has led him to minister in youth ministry, jails and prisons, addiction recovery programs, and, eventually, Fairview First Assembly. He and his wife Joanie served as Associate Pastors for one year and then Senior Pastors for the last six years. He also currently serves as the Oklahoma District Youth Rep for Section 11.
Josh Seabolt Josh Seabolt has served as the pastor of Generations Church in Guthrie since 2017. Josh and his wife, Nicole, started the Rural Church Initiative in 2015 and have raised and given away over $170,000 in money and resources to rural pastors and churches across Oklahoma. They have three incredible kids, Justin, Mika, and Katy. They believe the local church is the hope of the world and the rural church is an essential and dynamic part of the Body of Christ.
