Welcome Our New Presbyter! Near the middle of 2020, Raymond and Cynthia Frizzelle submitted their resignation and subsequent retirement as Pastors of Miami First Assembly of God where they served for the past seventeen years. Since September, 2010, the Frizzelles served as Presbyter for Section One in addition to pastoral duties. Brother and Sister Frizzelle are dearly loved across the Oklahoma District and served with distinction. They are presently living in Norman. Thank you, Raymond, for your years of leadership as part of the Oklahoma District Presbytery. During a special-called meeting of Section One on September 15, 2020, Reverend Jackie Crafton, pastor of Fairland First Assembly of God, was elected to serve as a member of our District Presbytery as a Sectional Presbyter. We welcome Jackie and Gail to this new role of leadership and are confident their presence will be an asset to our District. They have already demonstrated stellar assistance for the ministers and churches of northeast Oklahoma. The Crafton’s began their ministry in 1981 as volunteer youth leaders at the church they currently pastor and served in that position for eight years. During that time, Jackie worked as a backhoe operator and Gail as a secretary for Jackie’s dad at Crafton Pump Service. In 1986 he received credentials with the Oklahoma District and advanced to License the next year. In 1989 the Craftons became pastors of Picher Assembly of God while still working full-time at Crafton Pump Service. In December of 1993, they resigned from Picher Assembly. He served as Section One Youth Representative from 19911994. In October of 1994, they became Pastor of First Assembly of God in Blackwell, Oklahoma where they served for eight years. During that time, Jackie served as Section Eight Youth Representative and Gail served as Missionettes Representative for the section.
Reverend Crafton was Ordained in 2001 and a few months later accepted the pastorate of New Life Assembly of God in Calera, Oklahoma.
In 2005 they were called full circle and returned to Fairland First Assembly of God where they began their current pastorate. Jackie states, “We now pastor our first pastor who performed our wedding, dedicated all three of our children, and serves with us as director of our senior adult ministries.” Jackie is heavily involved in the local ministerial alliance; Gail is the worship leader at Fairland First Assembly. They also own a farm where Jackie enjoys working with his cattle and they both enjoy the peaceful country life. They have three children – Andrea Heilig and husband, Joshuah; Alisha Crafton; and, Anthony Crafton. They also have three grandsons – Ryder (10); Silas (8); and Guthrie (3). We welcome the Craftons as the newest members of the Oklahoma Presbytery! Honored to Serve, Frank and Linda Cargill, Pastors Oklahoma Assemblies of God Ministries

The Time is NOW! The Assemblies of God of Oklahoma Foundation has a tremendous opportunity for churches across the State of Oklahoma. At the end of 2020, the Foundation has access to $100,000 in matching funds. These matching funds are available to assist churches in beginning new endowment funds. For those unclear on what endowment funds are and how they work, please keep reading. WHAT IS AN ENDOWMENT FUND? An endowment fund is a permanently restricted fund established to provide an annual stream of revenue back to the local church. HOW DOES MY CHURCH START AN ENDOWMENT FUND? A church can start an endowment fund for $1,000. Annual distributions will begin once the fund has a $10,000 balance for one year. WHAT IS THE ANNUAL DISTRIBUTION? The annual distribution is 5% of the rolling 12 quarter fund balance. HOW CAN THE ANNUAL DISTRIBUTIONS BE USED? When a fund is established, the church determines if the funds will support Assemblies of God Missions, Student Ministry, or Children’s Ministry. HOW DO THE MATCHING FUNDS WORK? The first 20 churches that establish a new endowment fund with an opening gift of $5,000 will be matched with an additional $5,000 getting the fund immediately up to a balance of $10,000. If this is of interest to you, reach out to my office, and we can begin the conversation.

The Courage To Lead There is no doubt in our minds that God designed the church for influence, impact, and growth in the community that He established a work. This work of the ministry that He has called us to is one of the most challenging of endeavors that many of us have undertaken in our lives. While the challenges that the church faces today seem insurmountable, I believe that He still has a plan to continue the work of ministry to fulfill His mission He has called us to. Ministry has never been easy and in the past several months, the pressures have seemed to only grow in many respects. Difficult decisions have had to be made concerning personnel, organization, facilities, safety, services and finances. While these decisions we make are not unique to us as individual leaders, the weight of those decisions can be overwhelming. Pastor, while you have been called to courageous leadership during this time, let me encourage you by saying....You have been chosen for such a time as this!! GOD CHOSE YOU TO LEAD The great story of God includes people who have been chosen for specific roles in relation to the Kingdom. These individuals were often chosen not because of their perfect lives, but their willingness to serve God’s purposes and plans for their lives. For example, the Bible tells us that: He chose David his servant and took him from the sheepfolds; from following the nursing ewes he brought him to shepherd Jacob his people, Israel his inheritance. With upright heart he shepherded them and guided them with his skillful hand. Psalm 78:70–72 (ESV) Take courage that God has chosen you to lead your ministry because He knows you are capable through Him! Trust that God knows what he is doing when he called you!
GOD SUPPLIES WHAT YOU NEED It is easy for us to look at our place of ministry and focus on all of the things that we don’t have. It becomes easy for us to fall into a cycle of lack when we measure ourselves against what another church/pastor/ministry leader has available to them. Yet the Lord gives us the encouragement to: fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (ESV) The Psalmist reminds us that God is our source of all that we need to accomplish his purposes and to fulfill the mission of the church. When we trust in God as our source and rest in what He supplies, we can have the hope that He will use what we have for His glory and honor. Stand upon the promise that: I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (ESV) GOD LEADS YOU BY HIS WORD There is no doubt that we have a plethora of resources available to help us in our leadership and grow our ministry. I have utilized these resources many times over in my personal leadership and have found great help and encouragement through them. However, none of these resources are as rich as the Word in providing the direction we need in our leadership of the church. The Psalmist cried out to God his request to: Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! Psalm 119:35–36 (ESV) Need wisdom, answers, hope, anointing, power, courage? The Bible is the greatest resource we have as leaders, to know the heartbeat of a God who placed you in ministry to lead the church to effectiveness in 2021!
GOD REWARDS YOUR FAITHFULNESS With a changing world around us that is constantly in flux, there is an ever present pull for us to fall away from our commitment to being a good steward of what He has entrusted to us. Being a faithful servant requires us to know the leadership of the spirit and have an unwavering commitment to fulfill His purposes for our lives. My grandfather who pastored for many years encouraged me to “Be faithful to work your corner of the vineyard that God has given to you.” Being a good steward of the responsibilities that God has given us means that we don’t have time to compare our place in ministry with others. It also comes with the realization that our place of ministry is valuable to the work of the Kingdom of God! For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. Matthew 25:29 (ESV) BE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE COURAGE! Ministry leader, may we live in the comfort of knowing that God has chosen us, supplied us, leads us, and rewards us as we remain faithful to him. Your success in ministry is measured not by what you have in your hand, but by the faithful stewardship of your calling to God. Be encouraged that God is on your side. Follow His presence and you will see Him do great things in 2021! But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24 (ESV) Take Courage!! Chad and Nyree Brodrick

Thank You for Supporting
Speed the Light It seems like every time I write an article my opening statement is “Wow! What a year!” To say that about 2020 would be an understatement! Let me share with you a memory. In 2019, I had just completed my first Speed the Light sectional tour and had returned back to the office. I shared with Brother Cargill how the tour went and updated him on our giving pledges. He listened to what I had to say and followed up with “Heath, we need Speed the Light” and in that moment I began to fully realize the importance of Speed the Light. In 2020, the students in Oklahoma helped build a water well in Africa, provided support to rescue trafficking victims through FREE International and served communities in need through Convoy of Hope, as well as continuing to support our Oklahoma missionaries. Today I want to take the time to express my gratitude for all of our churches who decided, that even in the midst of a pandemic, they would be faithful in their giving to Speed the Light.
Here are the churches who gave $1,000 or more: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Thank you all for your generosity! Today I want to challenge all of churches and youth ministries with a “floor goal” of $1,000. What I mean by “floor goal” is let that be the foundation not the ceiling... if you believe you can do more, then, of course , do more! Again, because of your faithful giving we have a list of projects that we are able to pay for and I would love to start a brand new list for 2021. “We over Me” is the vision we have for everything that we do for OYM. Let’s continue working together and do more for our missionaries and our world through the life changing ministry of Speed The Light. I’m excited for the future Oklahoma! A Heart For Missions The “roots” of our Fellowship are traced directly to 1914. Although individual churches had already begun to share in a relationship with one another prior to that date, history records the “miracle” of the First General Council of the Assemblies of God during April of that year. One of the primary objectives for “organizing” was stated in an objective – that we might become the greatest source for world evangelism ever known. At the time, our influence was insignificant and the stated goal reached beyond any human explanation. Realization of such an unbelievable objective would require supernatural power that had never been witnessed.
No wonder our foundation was based upon: “Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit!” Zechariah 4:6 No wonder our foundation was based upon: “Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit!” Zechariah 4:6 Today the Assemblies of God World Missions outreach extends around our globe and touches millions of lives. We presently have over 2,600 missionaries in full-time assignment. Our ministries are divided into the following Regions – each containing powerful ministries, missionaries, and strategic plans for reaching our world: • Africa • Asia Pacific
• • • • •
Eurasia Europe International Ministries Latin America Caribbean Northern Asia
The Missions Theme for 2021 is “All for Jesus” and items are available for promotion, distribution, and publicity within every Oklahoma church. You will find supplies, catalogs, and complete information available at www.agwm. org. A list of those serving as part of the Oklahoma District – including those presently itinerating – may be obtained by contacting the OKAG Missions Department – www.okag.org, 405-4751100, or via email at dona.bunn@okag. org. The outreach of Assemblies of God U.S. Missions exists to partner with the church to reach America. The mission of AGUSM is clearly stated as “mobilizing Kingdom laborers and making disciples in the United States in challenging, neglected fields of mission.” Their focus of ministry is found within seven distinct areas of opportunity: • • • • • • •
Adult and Teen Challenge Chaplaincy Ministries Chi Alpha Campus Ministries Church Mobilization Intercultural Ministries U. S. Specialized Youth Alive
Every Oklahoma church is encouraged to keep missions in front of all activities and ministries. Our request would be that every church conduct a Missions Convention on an annual basis. During this event, faith promise pledges are appropriate to receive as the church plans ahead regarding monthly support for our vast array of missionaries that devote their lives to the full-time call of reaching our world for Christ.
As District Pastor, I dream of the day that our churches would contact our Oklahoma missionaries directly. Pastor, you should design a schedule of services for your local church and have a calendar that reaches into the future for at least a year in advance. As you plan – ask how many missionary services are appropriate for your church? How many missionaries do you envision as being presented to your people during a year? What special missionary projects are within your reach? Once you know how many missionaries are “right” for your church – pick up the phone and contact an Oklahoma missionary. DO NOT WAIT FOR THEM TO CONTACT YOU! Schedule those whom you support when they are itinerating; constantly be praying about increasing your commitments by extending an invitation to a newly approved missionary; challenge your congregation to do more than ever to spread the Good News at home and around our globe. If you need contact information and/or a phone number for any of our Oklahoma missionaries – please ask. My office stands ready to assist you in connecting with our fantastic team of Oklahoma missionaries! We are all responsible for evangelism! However, evangelism is the outreach of the local church to reach our local area. Such evangelism should impact our community, our neighborhoods, our people, and our collective social society. That is the responsibility of the local church. But missions – is outside of your local community. It is reaching those who will never hear you preach and those who will never sit in your pews. Our world is lost and without Christ – yet we are given the command – Go and preach the Gospel. That will only happen as the local church reaches beyond themselves and partners with a world missionary cause.
The Wind of Revival! The harsh winter has given us a desire for Spring to be manifested. We are so thankful that Jesus came to earth, to live, to die,and to be resurrected.
Please stand with us in believing that revival is spreading across Oklahoma, our nation, and the world. Mark and Nancy Fitzgerald
We feel just as new life is coming in the natural, new life is being sent to the church. The wind of revival is coming. May we the church be filled with the resurrection power of Holy Spirit. Filled with revival spirit, reaching the lost, seeing signs and wonders daily, and becoming the glorious church, the bride of Jesus Christ.

Easter Greetings! On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Bitcoins and Babies Investments can be tricky. A recent trend is Bitcoin investment, digital currency that you never see or handle; it’s just there, being “mined” on your computer. It’s all very interesting yet confusing to me since I like investments that I can actually see. I’m also not much of a gambler so I want an investment that I’m very certain will pay big dividends! 2021.... now is the time to INVEST in ministry to children! The returns will be out-of-this-world. Churches that INVEST in children are: Alive, Growing, Energetic and Securing Their Future.
If you are INVESTING in children, you are also INVESTING in discipleship. Small group ministry can be the best discipleship plan and can also provide an opportunity for not only age-appropriate but gender specific discipleship. Dream, build and plan for boys and girls to know Christ from nursery and grow in faith and understanding throughout their lives. Girls Ministries and Royal Rangers is a wonderful resource for small group, gender specific discipleship. If you are ready to INVEST in a “sure thing”, it’s children not Bitcoins!
I would love to help you begin, grow or revitalize your Girls Ministries as we enter a new season of fully opening up after the pandemic. Let’s INVEST today! Liz Moon
Building girls so we don’t have to repair women
That’s a true investment! “Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them; for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven”. Matthew 19:14 NKJV The littlest ones in the nursery are the Church and they are who we dream, build and plan for.

Unchained Royal Rangers’ events this year will be focusing on how God’s power is setting men free! We want to encourage and challenge men and boys to experience walking in the liberty where Christ has made them to be! Each of these events will offer both boys and men an opportunity to receive and respond to, the call of God to come out of the dark and run to the light! To shake off the weight of things that this world calls the “New Normal”. I believe Jesus is still setting captives free and it does not matter the age or status a person may be. Sharing this message with all ages is vital. We would love to share with pastors and lead teams what Royal Rangers looks like. Now It is a customizable and flexible ministry platform to fit any church culture. The ability to evangelize, equip, and empower lifelong servant leaders is the heartbeat of this ministry!
Hearing the heart of God in the middle of all the things that are pressing in on us is the greatest need today. If this message is something you believe can be carried to boys and men in your field of labor by the best discipleship ministry developed by the AG, please contact your District Royal Rangers staff for assistance in starting or re-starting. We are currently assisting several lead teams in both small and large churches to count the cost and prepare for ministry launch. 10/11/1938–1/30/2021 Reverend W. Dean Moore, 82, of Muskogee, OK went home to be with the Lord, after a short sickness, on January 30, 2021. Dean Moore was born to Walter and Iva Moore on October 11, 1938 in Lequire, OK. Dean was greatly influenced by his “Grandma Ragle” who recognized the call of God on Dean’s life when he was only 8 years old. At the age of 17, Dean married his high school sweetheart, Gailya Powell of Stigler, OK. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage and had four children: Damon, Cary, Tina and Reneé. Dean rededicated his life to the Lord at the age of 22 and entered full-time ministry by preaching at the Gospel Rescue Mission in Oklahoma City, OK. He was ordained with the Oklahoma District Council of the Assemblies of God in 1966. Dean served as pastor of seven churches: First Assembly of God in Harrah, OK, First Assembly of God in Heavener, OK, Calvary Assembly of God in Poteau, OK, Northside Assembly of God in Okmulgee, OK, Central Assembly of God in Muskogee, OK, First Assembly of God in Lindsey, OK, and First Assembly God in Boynton, OK. He served as an evangelist for several years, conducted missions’ crusades, and taught Bible College in Russia and Ukraine. Brother Moore, as he was affectionately referred to by so many, was a prolific writer. He was known for his expertise in Bible prophecy and authored more than 20 books including “Seeking the Face of God” and “Jesus in the School of Prayer.” Dean’s greatest pride and joy came from the fact that all his children and grandchildren are Spirit-filled believers in Jesus Christ, and many are involved in full-time vocational ministry.
