MASTER OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY 36* credit hours (12-Month Accelerated Format or Self-Selected Slower Pace) The Master of Science in Criminology program at OCU offers a curriculum that promotes the development of skills required in the workforce. Students study with faculty working on contemporary issues facing Oklahoma, the United States and the world. We can accomplish this with the assistance of our connections to various local, state, and federal agencies like Oklahoma City Police Department, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and U.S. Marshals Service. This advisory board provides direct connections for our students with potential employers as well as developing critical analysis skills for contemporary social issues. Graduates of our program can be found working across the country in these and other agencies: CARE Child Abuse and Response Evaluation Center, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Oklahoma City Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service to name a few. With a degree from OCU, you will learn the science, theory, research, and application of the entire criminal justice process.

Theories of Justice Core Elective
Accelerated Format Courses in the Master of Science in Criminology degree are taught in an accelerated eight-week format in which classes meet once per week in the evening. Full-time students in the graduate degree program will typically be enrolled in two classes during each eight-week session. This will enable full-time students who are making satisfactory progress to complete their degree in one calendar year. Students may elect to complete the degree at a slower pace.
