The Department of Mathematics offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Mathematics is the language of science, and with the explosive development of computer applications to virtually every facet of business and industry, it is rapidly becoming the language of society.

The Department of Physics offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. This program is designed to provide students with a strong background for a career in industry or government and for further education in graduate school. Career opportunities include Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Medicine, Education, and many others.

The demand for quality graduate mathematics students is dire and truly excellent opportunities exist for graduate study and employment. Graduates of programs in mathematics have diverse employment opportunities in the related sciences, as well as many areas of Business, Law, and Insurance Actuarial Science.

Students pursuing their B.S. in Physics are encouraged to also pursue a B.S. degree in Mathematics or Computer Science. In addition, the Department of Physics provides several required courses for students seeking a degree in Engineering.
