More opportunities for professional nurses exist now than ever before, due to the worldwide shortage of registered nurses and their expanding roles in healthcare. To declare nursing as a major, transfer students must be admitted to Oklahoma City University. Kramer School of Nursing (KSN) has no separate application, but to begin 3000-level nursing courses you must meet all required eligibility qualifications based on an official transcript evaluation.

• If you are earning your first college degree, simply complete OKCU’s general education requirements and the nursing prerequisites before your junior year. • If you have completed an associate of science degree from a regionally accredited institution and have taken a class that will transfer for our World Religions or Bible and Culture course, you have met our general requirements. • If you have a full undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited institution, you have completely met our general education requirements. Start nursing courses as soon as you have: • A 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA). • A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in all science courses. K S N I N DU NC A N, OK Oklahoma City University has partnered with Duncan Regional Hospital to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Classes start each fall in Duncan. Duncan Regional Hospital will provide up to 15 scholarships. An interview is required for these scholarships. Among those eligible for the program are students who have earned Associate in Science in Allied Health Sciences from Cameron University.
