FACULTY THAT CARE ABOUT YOU

PROFESSIONALLY

PERSONALLY

All of the faculty within the Wimberly School of Religion have had an impact on me, though none greater than the impact that Dr. Leslie Long has had. Dr. Long’s leadership as a female in ministry and her compassion for all of God’s children has changed my life forever. My own call to ministry will never be the same because it crossed paths

SCHOLARSHIPS FRESHMAN ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS OCU is committed to offering as much aid as possible to our students. Last year we offered or awarded 34 Million dollars in scholarship. Academic scholarships are based on ACT/SAT composite scores and high academic ability as indicated by grade point average.* The seventh semester high school transcript is the last transcript where academic and departmental scholarship upgrades are guaranteed. Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for scholarships . Awards are renewable up to seven consecutive semesters (excluding summer terms) with required minimum cumulative 3.0 unweighted grade point average.

We are aware of the current difficulty in taking ACT or SAT tests. Please note that OCU no longer requires a test score to be submitted for admission or certain scholarship opportunities. If you have been unable to take a test, please connect with your Admissions Counselor to discuss options: okcu.edu/counselors

TALENT AWARDS Talent and athletic awards are both available at OCU. Students who are admitted to the Wanda L. Bass School of Music, the School of Theatre, and the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment are eligible to audition and/or interview for talent scholarships and are not eligible to receive departmental awards. Film and Visual Arts students are eligible for both departmental and talent (based on portfolio) awards.

FRESHMAN DEPARTMENTAL AWARDS Students who are admitted to and enrolled in the Petree College of Arts and Sciences, Meinders School of Business, or the Kramer School of Nursing will be awarded a departmental scholarship in conjunction with the academic merit scholarship. This award is based on a combination of the student’s ACT/SAT and high school GPA.* Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for scholarships.
