Musical Theater Program for 2018-2019 (Onstage). • Music majors have the unique opportunity to double major. • Instrumentalists can audition for talent awards before applying for admission.

Theatre • One of the fastest growing theatre schools in the country. • Upon admission to the School of Theatre, students automatically become part of the TheatreOCU company and can audition for four main stage productions each year. TheatreOCU also produces eight Stage II productions, allowing more stage time for performance majors and hands-on opportunities for the design and production majors. • The School of Theatre produces and supports more productions than any other undergraduate program in the United States. • Ranked in OnStage Blog’s Top 30 College Design/Tech BFA Programs in each of the past two years • Four showcases for performing arts seniors: NYC, LA, Dallas & Chicago. • Numerous opportunities for students to work with visiting professionals and with our local professional industry partners. • Named “Best Theatre College in Oklahoma” three years in a row (OnStage). • Through partnership with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, School of Theatre students have the opportunity to work alongside members of Actor’s Equity Association.

freshman scholarships Fall 2020-Spring 2021 Beginning with fall 2020 applicants, your application for admission will also be your application for competitive scholarships. Deadlines and details are below. November 15 - Priority Competitive Scholarship Application Deadline February 1 - Regular Competitive Scholarship Application Deadline If you would like to be considered for competitive scholarships, please submit a resume and an additional letter of recommendation to admissions@okcu.edu, if not already included in your application materials. Notifications will be made by March. All university scholarships require full-time enrollment. TALENT AWARDS Dance and Entertainment, Music, and Theatre scholarships are awarded based on audition and/or interview and may be combined with academic merit scholarships, not to exceed the cost of block tuition. ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIP Amount: $1,500 to $7,800 per year Application deadline: Awarded upon admission to the university Priority deadline: March 1 CLARA LUPER SCHOLARSHIP Amount: Up to full block tuition, standard room and board AMERICAN INDIAN SCHOLARSHIP Amount: Up to full block tuition, standard room and board OCULEADS: PRESIDENT’S LEADERSHIP CLASS Amount: Varies SPEECH AND DEBATE SCHOLARSHIP Amount: $1,500 - $6,000 annually WORLD HOUSE SCHOLARS Amount: $2,000 for a study abroad experience and $500 for eight semesters toward tuition UNITED METHODIST SCHOLARSHIPS As a United Methodist affiliated university, OCU offers several special scholarship opportunities for United Methodist students.
