D. LANCE MARSH Professor of Acting and Head of Performance

D. Lance Marsh serves as head of performance and as a professor in the School of Theatre where he teaches many of the upper division acting courses, including Chekhov, Shakespeare, Greek Tragedy, Audition Techniques and Comedy. He directed "Cosi", which was a Region VI Finalist production in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Lance also serves as the Associate art director for Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park where he has directed several productions. Meet our Theatre faculty & staff!

Jeffrey Grogan Professor of Music, Director of Orchestral Activities Conducting School of Music Music Conducting & Ensembles

Grogan is currently Director of Orchestral Activities and Professor of Music at the Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University and Artistic Director of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras. Previously, Grogan served eleven seasons as Education and Community Engagement Conductor of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and as Conductor and Artistic Director of the NJSO Youth Orchestras, the InterSchool Orchestras of New York and the New Jersey Youth Symphony.

Jeff Price Professor of Game Design and Animation

Jeff Price received his B.F.A. in Visual Communications from the University of Oklahoma and an M.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University. Jeff has a background in game design, electronic media, interactive communications, and graphic design. Jeff's students have gone on to work at industry giants such as Dreamworks, Sony Imageworks, Digital Domain, ID Software, Imaginary Forces, Magnet Interactive, Organic, Blur, Midway Games, and Big Idea. KRAMER SCHOOL OF NURSING

Cene' Livingston Assistant ProfessorSchool of Nursing

Cene’ Livingston, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CNE, earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix while working fulltime as a practical nursing instructor and medical-surgical nurse. Cene’ works parttime as a primary care provider in a nurse practitioner-owned family practice in Oklahoma City and volunteers for Fundacion Manos Juntas free clinic, where she also sits on the board of directors.

MEINDERS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

Susan Jurney Associate Professor of Accounting Accounting

Dr. Jurney specializes in teaching taxation and financial accounting. Her research interests are primarily judgment and decision making of taxpayers, tax professionals, and nonprofessional investors. Dr. Jurney’s research has been presented in numerous national academic conferences, such as the American Accounting Association. Her current research examining generational differences in perceptions of fairness and tax compliance attitudes has been cited in The New York Times. Click here for other professors.

stars light up the world Tony-Award winners Kristin Chenoweth (Music Theater ’91, Master of Music ’93) and Kelli O’Hara (Vocal Performance ’98) have been staples on Broadway for more than two decades.

Pictured below are alumnae Eryn Lecroy (Bachelor of Music ’14) and Jane Jyroe Gamble (Bachelor of Music ’69) attending an OCUNYC alumni reception. Eryn debuted on Broadway as Christine in Phantom of the Opera. Jane is OCU’s first Miss America, winning in 1967.


MEET SOME OF OUR NOTABLE ALUMNI Bailey Perkins - Political Science & History ‘12 Perkins works as the state advocacy and public policy director at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. In her role, she works on behalf of The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to inform policy makers on the prevalence of hunger in Oklahoma, including the underlying causes and long-term consequences.

Madi Alexander - Political Science/Mass Communications ‘14 Alexander is a multimedia journalist whose works have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, CNN, and more. She is currently a data journalist for Bloomberg Government in Washington, D.C.

Charlie Ludden - Marketing ‘09 Ayssette Munoz - Acting ‘13 Munoz is an actress and company member at Teatro Vista and The Alliance of Latinx Theater Artists of Chicago. Television credits include “Chicago P.D.,” and she was featured as the Chicago Tribune’s “Top 10 New Faces of Chicago Theater” in 2015.

Ludden works as a development manager for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Oklahoma County, whose mission it is to provide trained volunteers to be a champion for the individualized best interests of children in foster care. While at OCU, he was a Clara Luper scholar.


Kristen Bailey-Mills - Nursing ‘13 In 2014, Bailey was recognized as an Outstanding Nursing Alumnus by the Kramer School of Nursing for implementing a new fall risk program at the Oklahoma City hospital where she worked. The program was based on a project she had completed during her last semester of school. She now works as a Family Nurse Practitioner for FusionMD in Oklahoma City.

Jay Wadley - Music ‘05 Wadley is an award-winning composer and music producer. His first professional score was for the TV program, Lie To Me, as the additional composer. He is also the co-founder of Found Objects Music Productions, an award-winning music production company working in music for Film, TV, Advertising, and Interactive Media.

Sasha Hutchings - Dance Performance ‘11 Hutchings was a member of the original ensemble of the hit musical “Hamilton.” She is currently performing in "My Fair Lady" on Broadway. Sasha is also in the current TV Show "Fosse/Verdon."

David Holt - Juris Doctor '09 Elected in 2018, Holt is the current mayor of Oklahoma City. Mayor Holt is a licensed attorney, working for a family-owned investment company. In his career, Mayor Holt has served a U.S. House Speaker, a U.S. President, a Lt. Governor and members of the U.S. House and Senate. He also served as chief of staff to his predecessor, Mayor Mick Cornett, for five years. He was then elected to the Oklahoma Senate, where he served almost eight years.

residence life Living in university housing puts you in the hub of campus life. Residence halls at Oklahoma City University are a short walk from classes, events, campus resources and the cafeteria. All Oklahoma City University students are required to live on campus until they turn 21.

WALKER HALL Co-Ed by wing, Walker Hall is our primary freshman housing option, with community spaces on each floor and a privacy wall separating each student’s living space within their room.

BANNING HALL Our Honors Program Residence Hall, Banning Hall is home to freshman and upperclassmen residents, including many of OCU's Honors students. The building is Coed by suite and its hallmark is a thriving and vibrant community.

DRAPER HALL Co-ed per suite, this residence hall accommodates both freshman and upperclassmen. In Draper, students enjoy added privacy and quieter living spaces. COKESBURY COURT APARTMENTS Apartment living with the convenience of being on campus and close to resources.

METHODIST HALL Reserved for upperclassmen students and coed by room, Methodist Hall provides individual rooms and community living spaces, as well as a kitchenette in each room.
