The Oklahoma Dental Hygienists’ Association (OKDHA) asks their President to come up with a logo that represents their vision for the upcoming year. But what’s in a logo? L- Leadership. As OKDHA President for the last two years, my logo has been, “United to Serve & Dedicated to Access”. We have united behind a forward-looking and outward-focused vision to support our colleagues and provide access to care for all Oklahomans. The OK RDH community stood united with our healthcare counterparts and became vaccinators to strengthen the workforce providing essential services to those in need during the pandemic. SOS, (Seal Oklahoma Student) was created to provide access to sealants for OK KIDS conveniently within the school setting. O-OKDHA. Have you heard, we put the OK in OKDHA! Please visit us at okdha.org G-Growth. Healthy things grow. Today's Oklahoma Registered Dental Hygienists are looking for growth opportunities in their professional careers. Advanced education, varied employment experience, advocacy, and the heart to serve uniquely position OK RDH to be a community and dental practice resource alongside the OK DDSs/DMDs.
O-Outlook for the Future! What Are We Known FOR? When you have a compelling vision, there is excitement to start the journey and stay the distance. There are so many pathways to caring for others. Uniting to serve as we provide access to care is a dynamic goal that will demonstrate the Oklahoma Registered Dental Hygienists and Oklahoma Dentists are FOR the patient and FOR the team. Unity occurs when we combine our unique differences together as we head toward a common goal. It is the sense that the thing that we are gathered for & moving toward is bigger than our own individual preferences. -Tony Evans.
