About OKC Restaurant Week

G

et ready to experience the best in local cuisine from Oklahoma City’s most outstanding restaurants during Oklahoma Gazette’s 2016 OKC Restaurant Week, which runs June 6-12, 2016. Building on several years of success with Downtown OKC Restaurant Week, Oklahoma Gazette announces it is broadening this year’s dining event to metro Oklahoma City. While Anthony Bourdain has No Reservations, the restaurants participating in Oklahoma Gazette’s Restaurant Week in June are encouraging guests to plan ahead and make theirs early.

This year, Skirvin Hilton Hotel is the official hotel of OKC Restaurant Week.

Consider a stay-and-dine option for those coming in from outside the metro area. Stay at this hotel and then take in all the amazing restaurants participating this year.

OKC Restaurant Week showcases appetizers, entrées, desserts and more! Crafted by Oklahoma City’s hottest restaurants, the selections are guaranteed to please your palate, your wallet and your giving nature. Participating OKC Restaurant Week venues will donate $1 for each prix fixe lunch and $2 for each prix fixe dinner served to Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Not only will diners receive custom-made, delicious selections for a great price, but each one also helps supply a meal to those in need.

Menus feature multicourse lunch and dinner options (e.g., appetizer, entrée and dessert) priced $10-$20 per person for lunch and $15-$49 per person for dinner.

Restaurants might offer couple-priced menu options. Special add-on beverage options also will be available.

A bit about OKC Restaurant Week How does Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma benefit?

Participating restaurants donate $1 for each lunch and $2 for each dinner purchased during the week.

About the Beneficiary 2016 Oklahoma City Restaurant Week beneficiary

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma

Established in 1980, Regional FoodBank of Oklahoma is the state’s largest private, domestic hunger-relief organization. The food bank envisions a hunger-free Oklahoma in which everyone has access to food. Regional Food Bank provides food for one of the hungriest states in the nation; the majority of those served by the organization are the working poor, children and seniors living on a fixed income.

• 1 in 6 (or 656,000) Oklahomans struggle with hunger.

• 1 in 4 Oklahoma children has inconsistent access to food.

• Every $1 donated provides five meals to hungry Oklahomans.

• Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma provides enough food to feed 116,000 Oklahomans every week.

• Last year, Regional Food Bank distributed more than 41.6 million meals to individuals and families struggling with hunger in central and western Oklahoma.
