Compound Genetics by MRV
Back on the hunt. Spring is upon us and new growth is everywhere, along with new Cannabis strains. New genetics are an ever emerging part of any Cannabis market. In Oklahoma, Cultivators choosing the right genetics can mean everything and determine if their flower will stay on a dispensary shelf. Patients like the new, the different and a large variety of genetics to be available. For this huge 4/20 Collectors issue, I knew I had to find a new strain that was more than outstanding. I knew when I saw this powerhouse genetic collaboration between Compound Genetics and Cannarado, this was the one to show off to Oklahoma.
Violet Fog, a cross of Khalifa Mints (Compound Genetics) and Grape Gasoline (Cannarado) is an absolutely stunning strain with amazing bag appeal, insane indica effects and an aroma and flavor profile that anyone will love. I found an exemplary grow of Violet Fog that was grown right here in Oklahoma by Maple Rock Veganics.
Not only was I able to get an interview with the grower for Maple Rock Veganics that grew this beauty, but also more than honored to have been privileged to ask the founder and owner of Internationally renowned Compound Genetics, Chris Lynch aka Chris Compound, a few questions as well. The Chronic- Tell the readers and myself what cultivating Veganic cannabis entails versus other ways. Maple Rock Veganics- The major difference in Veganic Cultivation is the input selection.
Just Making sure everything is plant based inputs, no animal byproducts whatsoever. We use Organics Alive as base nutrients then we use lots of compost teas, Sst (Seed sprouted teas)barley sprouts, fermentations and then semi-till soil is the foundation in our garden.
The Chronic: You have quite impressive genetics yourself, what are your plans for the future with your personal genetics?
MRV: Yes Breeding is one of my biggest and deepest passions, In the near future I will be releasing different seed lines that I have worked for the last couple years to the public.
The Chronic: Is the Violet Fog going to be a keeper for Maple Rock?
MRV: Oh Yes, the violet fog is a special one checks the boxes for sure!
The Chronic: What is in the future for MRV?
MRV: We are in the process of opening a dispensary in Tulsa.
We want to be a Vertical integrated company So we can provide everything to the patients from seed to clones to flower and Solventless hashs! A one stop shop by growers for patients no middle man! And of course producing the best and cleanest meds for the patients of Oklahoma!
Maple Rock Veganics added, “I would like to think my number two in the gardens is Ryan, if it wasn’t for him this wouldn’t be possible! My mentor Jacob for showing me the way.
The seed line is coming, check @katcha_vybes on Instagram for when they’ll soon be released. My wife Kaitlynn for keeping the kids and our home life in check! And a big thank you to all the people before me who paved the way for the plant and especially the people that have lost their freedom to the unjust laws governing nature.
