The Oklahoma City Community Foundation partners with estate planners, financial advisors, attorneys and accountants throughout the community to help their clients with charitable planning. We recently sat down with Oklahoma City attorney Kendra Robben to learn more about how she partners with the Community Foundation to better serve her clients.
Tell us about your practice? I practice estate planning and business succession planning at Robben Law PLLC, which I established in 2007. I guide my clients through the estate planning process and help them realize it isn’t a scary process, but can be painless and tax efficient.
How did you become connected with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation? I began working with Joe Carter at the Community Foundation to help a client leave a gift in their will in the most effective and efficient way possible.
How has the Community Foundation helped you help your clients? Working with the Community Foundation has given my clients access to charitable giving vehicles that are beneficial to both the community and to the donor. The Community Foundation’s flexible giving options allow my clients the versatility to make a difference in their personal interest areas, while also leaving a legacy rather than a one-time gift, which is always a great selling point. The Community Foundation helps my clients create the right plan without the pressure of having individual charities directly involved. It also helps them relax and open up about their overall goals in a much more honest and productive way.
