Sports Day

Following on from the bubbled sports days last year, we can celebrate a whole school sports day in 2022! Will Luxmoore and the day houses take the house prizes once more, or will another house run in to take the trophy?

Birley’s Festival

Birley’s comes alive with sporting activities. Show-jumping will take place down the end of the field, whilst the rest of the playing fields accommodate touch rugby, tennis and classic cars. There will also be plenty of food and drink, since you can buy a lunch ticket, sample the bake-off cakes or get an ice cream from the van.

Bake-Off

Classic Car Rally

Like Toad from The Wind in the Willows, ‘hop in’ your classic car and show off your pride and joy at Birley’s playing grounds. Individuals and clubs are welcome to pooppoop-poop along and join in the fun! Simply email: kingsweek@kings-school.co.uk to reserve your spot!

Show Jumping

With huge thanks to Manston Riding Centre, showjumping returns to Birley’s for 2022. Some pupils will be trotting and cantering, whilst others will be completing the full jumping course.

Tennis

Join in with our best ‘tennis academy’ pupils in a doubles tournament open to all! Enter with or without a partner by contacting bjr@kings-school.co.uk but hurry, as there are only 24 places available!

OKS SPORT OKS Swimming Gala

Which of OKS and the school will come out top in 2022? Events will include a timed handicapped swim, a family relay and a challenge 50m freestyle trophy event for staff.

Sunday 3rd July 12:00 – 2:00 pm The King’s Recreation Centre

OKS Fencing

Watch the best of our pupils take on the mighty OKS in the annual team fencing match on The Green Court. Like Star Wars, the teams (including past and present international representatives) will be fencing to conquer the King’s Fencing Universe. It’s light side versus dark side, but you can decide which is which!
