K-NECT This project is located in the Ä°stanbul, Turkey. The objective of the project was the designing a design institute. With considering the location of the project site and the development of the kinetic design I have desgined a kinetic design institute. Which has it is own patent bureau.

Antrepo 3 is used to use as a warehouse by the shipping companies. After IKSV bought this place they have organized couple of art exhibitions and it hosted old İstanbul biennial. After deciding that the building is damaged enough antrepo3 to not to be able to used again they have evicated the old warehouse and it was empty and free from that time. The location of the building is simply in the middle of the art centre of the İstanbul. There are a lot of exhibition places and art institutes in the field. But the common problem of the whole art exhitibion places which are located in the field is they are considering visitors as the viewers. To be able to break this idea I have thought about something kinetic and moving inside of the place service buildings which can intergrate with visitors. With intergrating visitors can turn to designers and can change the idea, volume and the housing design of the space however they want. This was my main concept of the place and I have tried to design as many as moving structural elements to make the building a kinetic design by industrial itself. In order to achieve this idea I have designed two buildings different walls which have motion sensors and they are moving constantly while someone passing thru them. As a consuquence art places visitors are becoming a new designer of the place unwillingly.

During design process main idea was to showing the kinetic design from scratch to completion. And to be able to have the maximum sun inside the place I have designed to storey long gallery space which was the main workshop space for the kinetic design objects. And to avoid over heating of the place I have put automatic shading system to the ceiling of the space.

The focal point of the design was the kinetic walls which are giving the designer role to visitor whether one wants it or not. They have located at the entrance and the second floor.
On the ground floor I have designed a huge exhibiton and workshop place for the design and making of kinetic designs. In addition there is a cafe place and two kinetic wall.

KOLIBKI PERFORMANCE CENTER This project is located in Gdansk, Poland. Objective of the project was to integrate an old stable to the new use for the people and mostly for the artists who are scheduling various art exhebitions and concerts in the ďŹ eld. My main idea was combining the architectural features of the old stable and the features of the shipping port and making a new interactive place for both visitors and performers.

Site Plan of Kolibki PROJECT SITE We worked with an old no longer in use “stable” which located in the Kolibki. Our main objective was regain the area and open it to people where they can do different activities in terms of doing creative and collaborative activities. When we look at the location of the project site we can see it is really close to SKM station “Gdynia Orlowo” and it is in the middle of residental and commercial areas. Which shows us it could be a great opportunity to design such a place that will attract peoples attention. On the other hand, because it is located really close to “Baltic Sea” project site offers a great opportunity to people to work in the perfect summer weather.
DESIGN IDEA With considering its location and cultural activities of the Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk it is thought that turning this stable to a “performance area” could be great opportunity to regain the area. In order to achieve this idea some key activities thought to be done in the place. Those activities are theaters, concerts, dance performances and video art. In addition to those activities one workshop place and one kinetic sculpture place designed too. In order to show the relation between new and old “shipping containers” have been proposed to use in the new design. What is more, with using some of the containers in the outside of the building it is thought to took the attention of the people to come inside of the building.

“The game” is a kind of structure which has three perfectly matching pieces which is allowing people to use those pieces to add a new idea in to the ongoing “crowd source game”
With the collaboration Manchester International Festival BDP architects designed a “music box” installation which contains 78 shipping containers. Their goal was letting childrens to discover musical intersections.

LIGHTING DESIGN OF THE SALT BEYOĞLU This project is located at Taksim, İstanbul. The main purpose of this project was evaluation of the lighting fixtures of one art center and suggesting new lighting design ideas for the better visual view of art pieces. I have choosen Salt Beyoğlu because it is an open art gallery for every by passers at the İstiklal Street. Besides of that they are changing the theme of the center twice in a month. These opennes and the circulation of the art pieces in the place makes the Salt Beyoğlu of the most important art center in the Taksim distrect.
During this project I have examined two different situations. First situation was with only sun light. Because of the place has openings to the İstiklal Street and those openings don’t have any sun shading elements there was a sun flare in front of the windows. In this situations visitors weren’t able to understand the art piece if it is located in front of the windows. To prevent this flare I have suggested to the outside of the windows.

In the right situation I have made the calculation with suggesting sun shadings in front of the windows to be able to place art pieces close to the windows. (Because of the small area they had to placed some of the works next to windows.)
Another situation was evaluating the lighting performance of the place with only artificial lightings. The biggest problem of the place is there is no general lighting fixtures and the the illumination of the place is getting done with spot lighting fixtures. The problem of it was there were great flares in the directions of the spot lighting fixtures but the rest of the area was dark and visually not in the desired stage for an art center. To be able to fix this situation I have suggested lighting fixtures with better illumination degree and changed the type of the spot lighting. With these changes the desired visual and illumination level is reached.

Second situation : On the left diagram above I have made the calculation of the area with only built spot fixtures. As I mentioned before there was not a general lighting fixtures in the area in that situation. And the illumiation of the place was below the average of the desired place both in the general area and the art pieces which are hang on the wall. On the right side you can see my suggested system for the area. I have decided to add some lighting fixtures for general illumination of the place. Besides of that I have changed the spot lighting fixtures with lower illumination degree for to be able to understand the details of the art pieces on the wall.

3rd ISTANBUL AIRPORT This project is located in Istanbul, Turkey. The main objective of this project is to reach the optimum lighting levels inside the duty free shops. For each duty free shop with a different architectural concept we have come up with suitable lighting design ideas. My role for this project is to developing the lighting concept ideas, choosing lighting ďŹ xtures, preparing BOQ and spec sheets of them, drawing lighting ďŹ xtures on the plan with their details and making necessary calculations in related programs. ** Because of the disclosure agreement with the client I am not able to show any of the drawings or renderings.
ISTANBUL MARINE SHOPPING CENTER This project is located in Istanbul, Turkey. The main objective of this project is to developing a lighting concept which fulfills the architectural details of the project. I am responsible of developing lighting concept ideas, technical drawings and specifications of lighting fixtures.
With considering the marine concept of the project we have developed a lighting concept which takes the light transition between day and night. For these two housing blocks we wanted to use a degration between amber yellow and blue lights inside the cove detail. For to achieve this concept we offered to use flexible linear lighting fixture. With using this kind of fixture we could easily enhance the contour of the building blocks.
For other building blocks we wanted to emphasize the contours of them with using dot lighting fixtures. The main concept for those blocks is to give the idea of sea sparkle for the viewers from the city scale. In order to achieve this concept we have looked to some dot fixtures which can be visible from distance but not so eye catching because of the airport regulation and not to disturb the home owners.

We wanted to follow the same concept and details for the back facades of the housing buildings. For the three identical blocks we wanted to emphasize the spine of building to improve the idea of sea and marine. ** Examples of desired lighting effects for facade lighting concept
M-GALLERY BY SOFITEL This project is located in Istanbul, Turkey. My part in this project is drawing shop details for the construction site. Developing lighting design concept for the back facade.
As the ďŹ rst alternative for the back facade of the hotel which is facing to Golden Horn we wanted to give the idea of water with using gobo effects. For the Turkish Bath we wanted to have a warm light to animate the warmness of sun inside the bath. In order to not disturb the customers in the hotel we wanted to use the gobo effect only at the blind wall.
For the second alternative we wanted to use the idea of waves. In order to reach this concept we wanted to use gobo to produce the wave effects on the blind wall. cConcept of the Turkish Bath remained same.
ISTANBUL TOWER LEVENT This project is located in Istanbul, Turkey. My part in this project is drawing shop details for the construction site. I have done the whole landscape lighting project at the Dialux for LEED CertiďŹ cation Specialist. Developed new lighting concept for plantation walls at the landscape project to be able to meet LEED CertiďŹ cation criteria.
In order to meet LEED CertiďŹ cation criterias we offered to cancel the lighting of the entrance canopy and we have proposed lighting posts which have asymetrical lighting distribution. With proposing that kind of post we managed to achieve the desired lighting level inside the project area while having minimum lighting pollution around the entrance.
We proposed to a new lighting concept for green walls around the project site for both meet the necessary lighting level for security reasons and to be able to meet LEED CertiďŹ cation criteria. I took part in developing the concept and I have supervised the schematic concept design and detail drawing of the new concept.
NEO FLORIDA HOMES This project is located in Orlando, USA. This was a joined project with an American construction ďŹ rm. We have designed interior plans for new types. My role was to making new design approaches for each house types. Furthermore I was in charge of making 3D modelling of houses and drawing elevations of each house type. In addition I have taken part in making visuals for commercial team .

These are the different house types that we have designed with colloboration with our team at United States. I was in charge of drawing of elevations for each type. After finalizing each type I have made 3D models of each house types. During rendering period I made contacts that our team located at United States currently working with. For each house type we have choosen building materials and during that period I have taken part deciding types of materials and combination of them. In addition I have made the list for shipment for samples. And I have taken part at drawing details for our design office and making it ready for grand openning for after sales.
NEO FLORIDA HOMES DESIGN CENTER For our costumers we have designed a design center where we are showing materials and supporting our commercial team during package selection. I have taken part finalizing the package options with our team at United States. After we have received final versions of option packages I was in charge of controlling them if they have any mistakes. Besides of that I was in charge of making material boards for each option packages. I have revised the company logo for each option packages as well. During the designing our design center I have taken part drawing furnishing details, choosing lighting fixtures, building materials and desinging visual boards. And I am taking part at explaining option packages to our costumers. And helping them choosing the best combination from the desired options.
For our project which located in Orlando, USA we have designed and built a design center. I have taken part in both conceptual and building part of this project. During conceptual design I was responsible of drawing general elevations of the place. After deciding general planning and the concept of the project we have moved on designing the stable furnitures and choosing the movable furnitures for purchase. I drew details of the slat wall, screen displays and the sales tables for the carpenter to built them. And I was in charge of finding lighting fixtures which are compatible with our concepts. Besides of that I have choosen and made a presentation inside the company about movable furnitures. During the building process of the design center I have taken part preparing the visual boards for the commercial team and for display areas. You can see the visual board clearly at the image on the right.

BODRUM NICCHIA This project is located in Bodrum, Turkey. In this project our concern was while preventing the natural habitat of the site, designing a modern villa type. I took part in the concept project and I have given tasks about researching modern approach to architecture in nature. Besides of that I have done drawings and 3D modelling for the team and I was in charge of selecting render materials and be in touch with rendering company for the best result. I took part in researching building materials for application according to LEED certiďŹ cation. In addition I have taken part preparing visual presentation documents for our commercial team.

PONTE BURIANO This project is located in the Arezzo, Italy. We have made the restoration project of the Buriano bridge. It was a collaborative work with Spanish, German, Italian and Turkish students. I was the part of that international team. I have taken part during taking measurements and notes about current situation of the bridge. Besides of that I have taken part of drawing part and visualizing part of the project for municipality.
LIVE BUILD 2014 This project is located in the Gdansk, Poland. According to Design of Gary Johnson we have built three pavillion buildings. I have taken part at the preparing the necessary items for the building process. After cutting all wooden parts for the pavillions I have taken part at the team as a builder. We have completed one and a half pavillion fully in the estimated time but we had to left the other one to professional builders that we have collaborating during project.
