Awash with light: DRAGONchain® Colormix. Large lettering and light boxes produce their full color and signal effects only if they are uniformly illuminated. DRAGONchain® Colormix is a versatile LED string comprising six metal core boards each with four high-flux Golden DRAGON® Argus LEDs which emit their powerful light at the side. This means that the light sources are ideally mixed and large surfaces are uniformly backlit.

Special features: • Coated for outdoor use (according to IPX5) • Simple connection with open cable ends • Up to two modules can be operated on one OT EASY 60 • Dimmable by pulse width modulation (PWM) • Fixed mounting with M4 screws • The center spacing of the boards of 50 cm allows for the uniform backlighting of an area of 1 m2 with one chain, with a light box depth of at least 20 cm and medium transmissivity of the diffuser

LED CONTROL GEAR AND CONTROLLERS – OPTOTRONIC® INDOOR

High performance calls for optimal control: OPTOTRONIC® for LED modules. In order to ensure optimum operation of LEDs, OSRAM has developed an OPTOTRONIC® range dedicated to high-performance modules. The devices provide a constant current between 350 and 700 mA and thus bring out the strengths of the modules – particularly in the shop, office, hospitality and home sectors.

Special features: • Electronically stabilized constant DC current irrespective of the ambient temperature or fluctuations in the line voltage • Very low power consumption thanks to high efficiency • Several LED modules can be connected in series within the specified output power range • Electrical isolation between the primary side and the secondary side (SELV equivalent)

• Reversible protection mechanisms for short-circuits, overtemperature and overloads • All the units meet the necessary standards for lighting technology: safety (IEC 61347-2-13), operation (IEC 62384), radio interference suppression (EN 55015) and immunity (IEC 61547) – it is therefore easy to integrate them into luminaires – this is indicated by the ENEC symbol

Operation of 350 mA and 700 mA LED modules Because of its extremely small dimensions, OT 9/200-240/350 is ideal for line-voltage operation of various applications limited by space. OT 9/200-240/350 DIM is an independent, dimmable electronic control gear with cable clamp, dimmable via 1…10 V interface or potentiometer.

OT 18/200-240/700 DIM is an independent, compact, dimmable electronic control gear for 700 mA high-flux LED modules. Brightness can be regulated via a 1…10 V interface or a potentiometer. The operating current of the LEDs can be adjusted flexibly (preset to 500 mA by a fixed resistor). OT 35/200-240/700 is a compact electronic control gear (700 mA) with a maximum output power of 35 W.

OT 9/10-24/350 DIM is a dimmable electronic control gear which enables high-flux LEDs to be integrated into DC supply systems (yachts, boats, mobile homes, solar lights etc.), dimmable via 1…10 V interface or potentiometer.

PC KIT EASY Color Control software The configuration software for the EASY Color Control light management system has a particularly clear, self-explanatory user interface. Programming four different color sequences from as many as 4 x 16 individual RGB+W scenes takes no time at all and can be replayed without a PC connection. The hold and cross-fade times for each scene can be set separately and sequences can be built up step by step using structured tabs.

A keen sense of light, motion and presence: sensors. Sensors provide the basis for energy-saving daylight-dependent and motion/presence-dependent lighting. With the aid of light sensors, the available daylight is measured and if necessary supplemented with artificial light. The lighting system is switched on by a motion/presence sensor only if at least one person is present in the room.

Ever rising energy costs and increasing focus on climate protection are pushing the need for energy savings more and more to the forefront. In applications with high energy consumption, energy-efficient lighting solutions are playing an increasingly important role.

Only as much light as necessary. With daylight-dependent and motion/presence-dependent lighting control systems, the available daylight in a room is supplemented as required by artificial light from luminaires equipped with dimmable electronic control gear. Light sensors detect the lighting level comprising artificial light and natural daylight. The groups of luminaires are controlled according to their position in the room and depending on the amount of available daylight so that a predefined lighting level is maintained. Users can adjust the lighting at any time to a level that meets their specific needs. If a motion/presence sensor is also used, the lighting is automatically switched on when someone enters an empty room or if there is someone in the room. This again significantly increases the potential energy savings.
