The curtain with the map of the starry sky moves along two leading curves and can be a backdrop or a curtain, dividing acts. The stage flour has different height – hills; actors are wearing parts of castles, joining together or parting, only the ground doesn’t change – everything on the ground can be destroyed and built again.

2007. Not realized project. A year ago I was offered to work at «Oscar and a pink lady». The director disappeared in a week after our meeting, the producer got into serious troubles: they went on tour to France, and one actor decided to stay there and pretended to be insane. However, is not important. This is the picture for the first talk, just a trifle, but for my son’s drawing on Leonardo. I had just come from Florence then and told him about Leonardo’s engines and the son was mad on them. Now his idol is Van Gogh. He’s telling me: ”You’re drawing well, nearly like Van Gogh, nearly.”

Pipes and columns. «We adore the past, we hate the present and we are afraid of the future». A.P.Chekhov.
What is the sacrificial smoke presently? It is that rises upwards on pipes, it is that runs on pipes vital, necessary - gas, water, oil … We sacrifice our health and our future in exchange for it.
The future differs from the past for position in space - the past, overthrown, - is horizontal, the future - raised - is vertical. Like columns. Like pipes. In the project pipes are replaced by columns, by means of them the space is designed.
Birds are intermediaries. Birds are phantoms from the past, from the future. Images, which are flying quicker then wind, at a velocity of an idea.
The images, which are coming in a dream, not people, not gods. They are free.

The performance was set on the small stage with the minimum of expressive facilities – bright tablecloths, deep blue cactuses and strange people, that can’t understand, whom to consider clever and whom as fools.
Two-floured Moresque house, palm trees and the sun – on one side there is a small yard, filled by tubs with flowers, on the other side – interiors.

2004. Not realized project. The platform, opened from four quarters, is filled by gigantic agitation puppetmonsters in style of the 1920s, among them – the puppet Jesus Christ .

BABY-TOWER (INTERACTIVE GAME)
The story about the Babel tower ended when the God had divided one language into great number of languages, and people had ceased to understand each other. To start building the new Babel tower, it is necessary to get the consent of all people to combine languages in one. My project is an opportunity to give the consent to association of languages. It is enough to write inside an empty cell in the native language, that you «give the language to build the Babel tower in exchange for peace and consent between people ». I hope for understanding and participation of all interested persons.

Houses, built from wooden fences, footbridges, dirt and ruin – everything that Russia is notable for. The poverty and the glitter of luxury side by side – no walls but the gold of samovars is shining.

Plays about Hebrews in Russian – are illustrations, as a scenography, as a suggestion to the theater. Different variants of design for the play («The Dybbuk ») ofSzymon Ansky are here. In the 1920s the play was staged by Vakhtangov and in 1988 Angey Vajda. The play is about a resettlement of souls, cabala and a beautiful love of two young people.

Branches and hay, wooden ladders and huge glass aquariums with real red fish which are in the air on the background of flashing panorama film shot from the cafО at the Tour d’Eiffel. Prose and poetry, incongruous in conjunction – that is the main idea of the project.

European-like small garden with diminutive trees and a light open pavilion for teadrinking. The theme of the artificial acid green and the sunset of the fuchsia color.

The house on wheels, the machine which will not go anywhere yet. “To Moscow, to Moscow”- unrealizable dreams on the wreckage of the reality. The treatment has been inspired by the photo of the crash of the emperor’s train in the Caucasus – the railway bed is on top and beneath there are beautiful broken wagons decorated with mahogany, and dusted luxury clothes, Viennese chairs on the rocks and women - delicate, like rose buds, wearing flimsy evening dresses - are sitting on them.

The playing platform with a turning over framework of a small house, a ragged and full of holes tent-pavilion, stretched by means of poles. The steamer, made from a raft and a steering wheel – a play at Americans, Indians, Mark Twain. Flying cats.
