About Holick’s Holick’s was established in 1891 by Joseph Holick, who also established the Fighting Texas Aggie Band. His son, Johnny, took over his father’s trade roughly in the 1940’s. Johnny was the first person in Aggieland to manufacture the Aggie Senior Boots we know today. Johnny’s daughters received the reigns in early 1980’s. At one point, Holick’s also owned one of the largest shoe repair shops in the country, and was located where Antonio’s Pizza is located today.
