Letter from the Top The PAF is back, and better than ever! Since 1970, the Pacific Athletic Foundation, and later the Pacific Tigers Athletics Association, has provided valuable scholarship support for Pacific student-athletes thanks to donations from hundreds of loyal and generous donors each and every year. In 2012-13 the Pacific Athletic Foundation was relaunched and has expanded its operation in order to increase its impact. Now, all donors to Pacific Athletics are valued members of the PAF - whether you give to the PAF Scholarship Fund, a Sport-Specific Fund, an Athletics Endowment Fund, and/or via Gifts-In-Kind. The Pacific Athletic Foundation is dedicated to taking Pacific Athletics to the next level. It is our goal to provide the funds necessary for each of Pacific’s 19 intercollegiate athletics teams to be competitive every year for conference championships. Your thoughtful and generous support of the PAF is greatly appreciated. Your donations make all the difference! Thank you, and Go Tigers!
Chris Lynn Assistant Director of Athletics for Annual Giving
MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Pacific Athletic Foundation is to (1) provide private financial support for Pacific student-athlete scholarships and sport-specific operations, and (2) provide membership benefits, communication and services for all donors to Pacific Athletics.
What is the PAF? The PAF is a support organization for the Pacific Athletics Department. All monies raised for the organization can be marked as general athletics or restricted to a sport. There are four distinct funds as listed below: 1. PAF Scholarship Fund – Provides support for the annual scholarship needs of Pacific student-athletes. Pacific Athletics is required to meet a Base Scholarship Obligation to the University. If this goal is met all additional funds raised will be used to support Pacific Student-Athletes such as fifth year aid, summer school, training table, etc. Donors interested in securing seating in premium sections (H,I,J) for Men’s Basketball are required to give to this unrestricted fund. 2. PAF Sport-Specific Funds – Provides direct support to specific teams and programs. Teams spend this money for operations such as uniforms, new equipment, recruiting, travel, etc. Most sports offer their own benefits. For more information on sport-specific benefits, please contact the PAF Office. Other Women’s Men’s Athletic Training Basketball Baseball Basketball Golf Soccer Swimming Tennis Volleyball Water Polo

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why Should I give to the Pacific Athletic Foundation and how will my donation be used? With the cost of tuition continuing to rise, every gift to the PAF is important as we strive to build our programs, raise support for our studentathletes, and win championships. Your donation will be used to provide scholarship aid. Gifts to sport-specific funds will be used for team operations. How Do I Get Good Seats for Men’s Basketball Games And how am I guaranteed the same seats? PAF donors receive the Right-to-Buy the best seats for Men’s Basketball in the PAF sections - $750 for 2 season tickets and $1,500 for 4 season tickets. My major concern is not benefits, but where my season tickets are located. How can I be guaranteed my same season ticket seats? Simply renew your PAF Pledge by June 30 each year. I have never donated to the PAF, but I am very interested. What do I need to do to receive benefits for the 2012-13 giving year? Contact Chris Lynn from the PAF Office at clynn@pacific.edu or (209) 946-2387. Once you make a partial payment on your pledge you will start receiving the benefits for your respective gift level.
