TIP OFF • Ole Miss heads to Knoxville Wednesday to take on the Tennessee Volunteers. The Rebels have won four of their last five SEC games and six of their last seven against the Vols. • The Rebels are averaging just 8.0 turnovers a game over the last three games after averaging 15.5 per game over the first 20 games. Ole Miss is 6-0 this season when committing 12 or fewer turnovers. • Head coach Andy Kennedy recently moved past former Kentucky coach Rick Pitino into 19th on the SEC career coaching victories list and now has 226 wins at Ole Miss. • The Rebels have hit 68 of 81 (.840) attempts from the free throw line over the last three games and rank third in the SEC making 74.5 percent of their attempts this year. • Senior F Sebastian Saiz recorded his 25th career double-double with 10 points and 16 boards in the win over Vanderbilt and now has 16 double-doubles this season, which leads the SEC and ranks fifth nationally. Saiz leads the SEC and ranks sixth in the nation pulling down 11.4 rebounds a game and is the only player in the SEC this season averaging a double-double. The league’s active career rebounding leader, he recently moved past Elston Turner into fourth in Ole Miss history with 862 rebounds. Saiz has topped both 1,000 points and 800 boards in his career and is just the sixth player in Ole Miss history accomplish that feat. • Senior F Sebastian Saiz needs just 38 rebounds to join Rebel great Murphy Holloway as the only two players in Ole Miss history with 1,000 points and 900 rebounds. • Sophomore G Terence Davis earned SEC Player of the Week honors earlier this year after posting two straight double- doubles in wins over Tennessee and Missouri. He is averaging 16.8 points and 6.5 rebounds a game over his last six games and has increased his scoring this season 11.2 ppg over last year, which is the largest scoring increase for any player in the SEC. • Two Ole Miss signees - Devontae Shuler and Jamarko Pickett - were recently ranked four-star prospects in the latest release of the Rivals.com 150. Shuler was rated the No. 106 prospect in the nation, while Pickett checked in at No. 113. Pickett was also ranked the No. 93 player in the nation by ESPN.com • Ole Miss boasts the 31st toughest strength of schedule this season according to ESPN.com and the Rebels have played 13 teams ranked inside the RPI top 100, including 10 inside the top 60.
