TIP OFF • Ole Miss returns home to host rival Mississippi State Wednesday. The Rebels have won four of the last five meet ings against the Bulldogs. • The Rebels will honor Tomasz Gielo, Martavious Newby, Stefan Moody and Anthony Perez as part of Senior Day activities. Ole Miss is 7-2 all time on Senior Day under head coach Andy Kennedy. • Senior G Stefan Moody leads the SEC, and ranks ninth nationally, in scoring at 22.8 ppg this year. Moody has posted 20-plus points 19 times this, including a streak of 14-consecutive games, and has topped the 30-point mark three times. He also leads league in the scoring in SEC play at 22.8 ppg. • Senior F Anthony Perez posted a season-high 19 points in the Rebels’ last game at Georgia. Perez also pulled down 9 boards against the Bulldogs, one rebound shy of his second career double-double. • Senior F Tomasz Gielo, who was averaging 5.3 ppg and shooting 21.8% from the field over the seven games before the game at Mizzou (Feb. 3), knocked down 6 of 8 shots, including 4 of 6 from 3, and scored 16 points in the Rebels’ road win over the Tigers. Since that game he is averaging 14.8 ppg and shooting 48.9% (23 of 47) from 3 over his last eight games. • Head coach Andy Kennedy picked up 200th career victory as the Ole Miss head man versus Louisiana Tech earlier this season. The all-time winningest coach in school history, Kennedy is 210-125 in 10 seasons in Oxford and 231-138 in 11 years as a head coach. He is the 20th coach in SEC history to win 200 games at one school, and has the fourth-most wins by a coach in his first 10 years in the SEC at one school. • With 24 points against South Carolina, senior G Stefan Moody became the 37th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark in his career. Moody is the fifth-fast player in school history to reach 1,000 career points (52 games) and ranks eighth in Ole Miss history with a 19.4 ppg career scoring average.
