REBELS (19-11, 9-8 SEC) Head Coach: Andy Kennedy Career: 232-138/11th At OM: 211-125/10th
TIP OFF • Ole Miss travels to Tennessee Saturday to face the Volunteers in the SEC regular-season finale. A win would secure the Rebels the no worse than the No. 7 seed in next week’s SEC Tournament. • A win would give Ole Miss its eighth 20-win season in 10 years under head coach Andy Kennedy. The Rebels recorded just seven 20-win campaigns in the 96 seasons before Kennedy’s arrival. Kennedy would join Billy Donovan (Florida), Joe B. Hall (Kentucky), Rick Pitino (Kentucky and Tubby Smith (Georgia/Kentucky) as the fifth coach in SEC history with eight 20-wins seasons in their first 10 years in the league. Only Kentucky (9) has more 20-win season in the SEC over the last 10 years than the Rebels. • Senior G Stefan Moody needs only 20 points to became only the fifth player in Ole Miss history and the 26th player in SEC history to top 700 points in a season. Earlier this year, Moody became the fifth-fastest player in school history to score 1,000 career points (52 games) and ranks sixth in Ole Miss history with a 19.7 ppg career scoring average. • Senior G Stefan Moody leads the SEC, and ranks sixth nationally, in scoring at 23.4 ppg this year. Moody has posted 20-plus points 20 times this, including a streak of 14-consecutive games, has topped the 30-point mark four times and scored 40-plus points once. He also leads league in the scoring in SEC play at 24.1 ppg. • Senior G Stefan Moody scored a career-high 43 points in the Rebels’ Senior Night victory over MSU. It is tied for the highest single-game total in the SEC this year, the 11th highest in nation and the 13th highest in school history. It also marked the most points scored by a Rebel since Gerald Glass dropped 43 on LSU in 1989 and was the most in an SEC game since 2009.. • Head coach Andy Kennedy picked up 200th career victory as the Ole Miss head man versus Louisiana Tech earlier this season. The all-time winningest coach in school history, Kennedy is 211-125 in 10 seasons in Oxford and 232-138 in 11 years as a head coach. He is the 20th coach in SEC history to win 200 games at one school, and has the fourth-most wins by a coach in his first 10 years in the SEC at one school.
