Theatre in a barn started as an investigation project assigned by the municipality of Lund. This project had the following as pillars of design: preservation of the barn dating from 1600; creation of a flexible theatre stage; interaction with the landscape and surrounding; and acupunctual interventions that improve the quality of the space and building in itself. The barn went such into a process of transformation where minimal changes were applied into the façade, roof and main entrance. In the interior the changes were radical, where the space was divided into three floors and could host the theatre stage and services in function to that, offices, workshop areas and cafeterias. The barn was transformed into a lively artistic hub on the outskirts of Lund.

Project type Private housing
Olive Residence, is a project developed for a private client, located in the heart of Puglia. The location, landscape, colours, history, culture and heritage drove the architectural design. The southern part of Italy has a great influence of the Arab architecture, especially the white-egg colour dominating the façades. As an ode to the architectural heritage, white engulfs gently the villa and emphasizes the contrast in-between the landscape and architecture.

Project name: VIP Salotti Showroom Project status: Completed Location: Vlorë, Albania Year: 2015 Own Office Role: project architect, projects detailing, project manager, construction site manager
The showroom, located by the highway, outside the coastal city of Vlora in Albania, is designed as a landmark to be appreciated from the road and surrounded by corn fields. Its façade choice follows the properties of the material, where a network of aluminium profiles and cladding, reflect light differently during the day creating the impression of a dynamic building. The second element, atrium, is a space that twists towards the sky ending with a box cupola. The elevator and stairs, located inside the atrium, become strong architecture elements dominating the void. The third element, structure, is treated as an indoor façade.

MIA Organic, was a start up business idea which sold local organic food produce, aimed to promote local Albanian products and support the small farmers and meat purveyors. The business idea was the starting point for developing the brand and the space design. The stylized shape of a house, started from the outside and extended inside the space as a roof structure hanging from the ceiling. The overall furniture design, floor and wall details are kept on a neutral wooden finish, meanwhile the rest of the surfaces are painted in white. This was the first pop up store, which paved the way to a chain of stores and eventually the development of MIA farm.

Project name: Daylighting and other environmental questions Project status: Finished Location: Sweden Year: 2019 - 2023
As a daylighting and environmental specialist my role was extended on different phases and scales of projects. I have worked closely with building design, starting from the urban scale and going into the small scale (room design). My experince covered from technical work to project management for daylighting and thermal comfort matters. As well an important task was project certification according to BREEAM and Miljöbyggnad. This experience has given my an extended portfolio of more than 70 projects where I was involved on different stages of design and scale.

EUROPAN 17 CIRCULAR SHIFT
Collaborators: M.Sula
Sustainable design choices and interventions prioritize circularity, with regenerative, green, and innovative principles envisioned to foster inclusive and positive place attachments in the renovated spaces. The project goes beyond physical transformation; it fosters a deeper connection between the living and working on-site community and the surrounding non-human environment. By integrating circular strategies, the hub aims to thrive sustainably, caring for both human and non-human inhabitants, and the environment, while sharing spaces, resources, data, and knowledge among a resilient community.

This project covers a wide rage of implementation, from restoration to the development of new buildings following strictly materials reuse and sustainability. A big focus is given as well to the urban design and the creation of a network of public spaces that promote urban farming, edible green corridors and natural habitants for the local flora and fauna. The new buildings does not only promote sustainable and circular ideas, but are consistent changeable space that shift according to the program offering events for both students and locals. Grensen is transformed into the hub that promotes new ideas and becomes a new heart for Trondheim.

Project name: Hybrid student city Project status: Competition, Second Runner-up Location: Tirana, Albania Year: 2015
The Hybrid Student City, is a urban development of the old student campus in Tirana. This project is tackling two different aspects: revitalization of the old dormitories; and proposal of new building blocks from dormitories to conference halls and recreational centers. The revitalization of each typology of dormitories is different, from changes room layouts to the proposal of new accessibility plans. The unifying element of this project is the introduction of common areas on each building that provide a network of functions 200m in reach for the students, working together to create needed services for a healthy and happy student life.

The hybridization strategy will contribute on the addition of new necessary programs and the creation of mix typologies. We create a city within a city, where locals and students create the community and where students characterize the new society.
