Green Insertion Marrakech Economies and Cultures Comparative Analysis & Medina Old Town Openspace Design First part is an analysis of the economies and cultures at the system and regional level in Marrakech,Morrocco. Second part, I choose Medina as the my main design site and then select a small site as the demostration project for my master design. The design concept “Green Insertion“ from the original framwork-”green Finger” which means to expand green into Medina and connect the exsit gardens and green spaces making them as a integral network. As Medina is in high density, it seems impossible to add more green spaces while rethinking the site the problems occure in the Medina needs to be solved. So the purpose for my design is not oly bring green into site but also design with a more sustainable and energy saving way in order to improve their quality of life and create the site as the dynamic part of the territory and in this way to attract the energy of Medina.

The Living Island West Kowloon Cultral Distric Schematic Design The designed site is a part of west Kowloon occupied 6.2 ha area, situated within the Yau Tsim Mong District. It is principally a stretch of land reclaimed and which has been opened to development in the late 20th century. It is a new land for people living in Hong Kong and presenting a totally different city fabric from the former residential area in Yao Tsim Mong District. The concept “Island draws from the demands of the citizens: a big-scale waterfront green open space. Keeping the green waterfront space for the city and making it more open to the sea are the main purpose in this project.

Chengdu Langqiao Shahe Restaurant Atrium Design
The atrium design evokes the notion of linear element from the vertical bronze screen to the line modular paving. A hint of linear elements echo of what is to appear in the courtyards of the private dining rooms. The bronze screen detail developed for the signage using the Langqiao logo is repeated for the entrance pavilion. The same element will be enlarged for a hanging screen feature in the atrium of the restaurant. Delicate and reflective in the dining hall, it will be made in white acrylic, accentuating the daylight through the skylight. This thin veil acts also as a privacy shield to the private dining rooms upstairs, creating intimate spaces on both levels.

This project provides a portable herb handbook for migrant families who live in containers. Based on the survey and poll of the local folk, this project is aimed to provide migrants with a timely supply of medicine, to create a seemly landscape pattern and to improve the life quality more effective. Moreover, to fit the frequent migration of those families, the herb handbook can be easily relocated with the container entity anywhere as an entirety. With this new style Portable herb handbook, the containers community where the migrant families live in becomes an animate herb yard rather than a stagnant vacant lot. Besides that, the migrant families benefit much by saving money on medicines and enjoy a lot of fun in planting activity.
