How to Use This Workbook The journey to self-discovery will take some time, but it will also create freedom and significant changes in your life. My background in psychotherapy and counseling has enabled me to fully understand the importance and necessity to be self aware, love yourself, and work to be the best person that you can be. As a life and relationship coach, this is exactly what I help my clients do. The purpose of this workbook is to help you begin the journey towards real, long-lasting change in your life. I look forward to connecting with you!

What You Will Find Inside Your Notebook Part 1 Part 1 is the activity portion. There are 3 activities for you to complete. You will be given a description of the topic and then instructions to complete the activity. Remember, if you are unable to complete the entire workbook, just do what you can. Working on ourselves for 5 minutes is better than not doing it at all. It is not necessary to complete the activities in order so feel free to move through them freely.
Part 2 Part 2 is your space to journal. Please use this space to process the activities freely. What was the experience like when you completed each activity? Was it comfortable or uncomfortable to focus on certain topics? Make sure you refer to Part 2 after completing each activity to ensure that you have the proper space to work through your emotions and thoughts. While it may seem insignificant in the moment, the journaling portion of this workbook is equally as important, if not more important, than the activities themselves. As you are going through the workbook, it is completely normal for difficulties to arise and to experience a multitude of emotions. That is okay. In fact, it is effective. The purpose of this workbook is to help you embark on your journey to self-reflection and experiencing discomfort is totally normal. Try to embrace that discomfort. Understand that growth is often times painful so give yourself permission to work through this workbook at the pace and in the order that best suits you. Remember, you will get out of these activities what you put in so be sure to give them your best effort. Upon completion of this workbook, be sure to check your email. You will be receiving follow-up emails to help you process what the experience was like, its benefits, and how it fits into my coaching framework. I hope you will find this workbook to be as helpful as many others have. When you begin each activity with an open mind and a willingness to explore, you will be amazed at what happens.

Activity #1 - Self Compassion What is self compassion? Self compassion is the skill of treating ourselves with kindness and empathy. Self compassion is celebrating your victories while also being understanding of your challenges and failures. In order to master self compassion, you must first understand what it is and believe in yourself. Then, you can move on to perfecting the skill. Feel free to use extra paper or space in the journal (part 2) if you need more room to write.
I want you to think about a recent time in your life when you were unable to display self compassion. Activity #2 Limiting Beliefs What are limiting beliefs? Limiting beliefs are thoughts that have the potential to hold us back and prevent us from reaching our potential. How is this possible? It is simple. Limiting thoughts lead to limiting behaviors. When we act in a way that is limiting, we guarantee that we will not accomplish and reach what it is that we deserve. I want you to read the list of statements below and circle the ones that apply to you. I am not good enough. I will never be wealthy. I have too much on my plate. No matter how hard I try, I will never be happy. I am not special. I will never find the love I so badly want and deserve. I will fail. I am not important. I can’t trust others. I don’t have time. I don’t know myself.

Activity #3 Embracing Adversity Embracing adversity is something that often seems so unrealistic. Why would we run towards something that feels challenging? Let me explain. When we go through adversity, we come out stronger people. The challenges we face strengthen our character and allow us to lead greater lives and influence those around us!
We are going to complete this final activity a total of three times. Each time will be a little different so be sure to read carefully. For the first segment, I want you to think about one challenge you have faced in the past. Please write about this experience in as much detail as possible.
