In six years as a pastor, he has helped seventeen students enroll at Olivet, wholeheartedly believing that the University is a transformative place for students transitioning from high school to the workforce. This past year alone, he brought eight students to Red Carpet Days and twenty-four students to Celebrate Life. Josh says, “I am inspir ed to be an ONU Advocate because I was greatly impacted by my experience as a student. Everything including the faculty and staff, chapel services and even the lifelong friendships I have made, deeply shaped who I am and what I believe today. I have seen the impact that ONU has had on my students and the way they have grown and matured personally and spiritually through their time atthe University.” ■

▲ Josh graduated from Olivet with a degree in religious studies and a minor in business administration. After graduation, he accepted a job as the youth pastor for Pekin First Church of the Nazarene. Josh and his wife, Ashley (Hall) ’13 live in Pekin, Illinois.

Promote upcoming Olivet events and programs through the local church and community. Share their copy of Olivet The Magazine with someone in their circle of influence. Encourage high school students to schedule a campus visit, and help them make arrangements to get to the University. Recommend students for the admissions staff to contact. Connect Olivet students with local job and internships opportunities through the CareerPortal. Make a financial contribution to continue furthering the mission of “Education With aChristian Purpose.”
