Tiffany Greer, Ph.D., RN Dean, School of NursingTiffany Greer has worked as a telemetry staff nurse, an emergency room staff nurse, and a clinical nurse educator in emergency care. Today, she is the associate dean of the School of Nursing, which provides undergraduate and graduate nursing programs at Olivet, while also maintaining her license as a registered nurse.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (BSN)
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a highly respected degree with an ever-growing national demand. If you feel a calling to the profession of nursing, Olivet’s traditional, on campus, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is designed for you. This BSN program integrates nursing theory with skills required for nursing practice, providing a professional foundation. Through the BSN program, you will gain valuable patient care experience, critical decision-making skills, and confidence. This full-time, 4-year degree program combines in-person classroom learning with hands-on clinical practice. Students with enough transfer credits may also graduate in as little as 5 semesters. Our pre-licensure programs meet the educational requirements leading to professional licensure by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) through the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). As a registered nurse (RN), you will make a difference in the lives of others. You will be challenged and satisfied, knowing nursing is more than just a profession — it’s a passion.

The perfect candidate is a recent high school graduate or transfer student who has little or no college experience. This on campus program is for caring, compassionate individuals who seek to become a bachelor’s prepared registered nurse.
ACCELERATED BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (ABSN)
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) is a highly respected degree with an ever-growing national demand. If you’re a professional who desires to transition into the field of nursing, Olivet’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program is designed for you. The ABSN program integrates nursing theory with skills required for nursing practice — providing a professional foundation. Through the ABSN program, you will gain valuable patient care experience, critical decision-making skills, and confidence. This full-time, hybrid program combines online learning with hands-on clinical practice and meets the educational requirements leading to professional licensure by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) through the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). As a nurse, you will make a difference in the lives of others. You will be challenged and satisfied, knowing nursing is more than just a profession — it’s a passion.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (RN-BSN)
If you are a registered nurse who has earned either a diploma or an associate’s degree in nursing, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) program is designed for you to further your education. As an RN-BSN student you will develop leadership skills and an understanding of the dynamic health care environment, ensuring that you can recommend constructive change and assimilate ethical, moral, spiritual, and professional concepts into your nursing practice. The RN-BSN program integrates your previous nursing experience and knowledge, while helping you advance your personal, professional, and educational goals.
Length of program
15 months for core program plus required general education/elective courses. A fast-track option is available by taking two courses together through part of the program. Online courses with practicum hours in your area.
Who should apply?
The perfect candidate for this program are associate degreed nurses (RNs) looking to complete their bachelor’s degree. Students transitioning from a community college or nurses who want to advance their career.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (RN-MSN)
The Master of Science in Nursing (RN-MSN) program is designed for Associate degree or diploma prepared nurses interested in obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science in Nursing degree in a continuous program. Students in this program have the opportunity to broaden their professional field as they learn how to care for individuals and families in a variety of healthcare settings. The values of Olivet Nazarene University allow students to undergo this education in an uplifting environment.

Associate degree nurses looking to complete their bachelor’s degree and transition into an MSN program; community college students, hospital nurses, community nurses, etc.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING: EDUCATION (MSN-ED)
You enjoy working with students. You offer compassionate care for others. You inspire. If you have completed your BSN and want to broaden your knowledge base in preparation for entry into academia, or doctoral study, this Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is designed for you. In this Education track, you will develop, test, and evaluate ideas relevant to the nurse educator core competencies, along with critically examining concepts and theories in relation to nursing practice, teaching-learning strategies, curriculum and course development, professional issues, and the monitoring and evaluation of student learning. Ethical, moral, and spiritual concepts are integrated into the curriculum to aid in the development of advanced knowledge and skills to better prepare you for servant leadership. These skills will prepare you to innovatively lead the profession of nursing forward. You will interact with a variety of interprofessional partners to explore best practices and will be able to enter a new nursing role as an academic nurse educator.

The Master’s in Nursing Education track is designed for registered nurses with a bachelor’s degree who want to further their career in nursing education. Candidates for the Master’s in Nursing Education are seeking to inspire and mold the next generation of nurses by teaching knowledge and skills required for same and competent care. Candidates enjoy serving as preceptors and helping others understand new or difficult concepts.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING: TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP (MSN-TL)
You enjoy improving outcomes. You have a passion for solving organizational problems. You work well on interdisciplinary teams. You inspire others through example. If you have completed your BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and want to broaden your knowledge base in preparation for a leadership role or doctoral study, this Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is designed for you. The goal of the Transformational Leadership concentration is to transform you personally and professionally. Throughout the program you will interact with a variety of multidisciplinary representatives to explore best practices. You will develop, test, and evaluate ideas relevant to nursing practice, along with critically examining concepts and theories in relation to leadership. These skills will help you as you systematize moral, ethical, spiritual, and professional concepts into to your sphere of influence to lead change within the healthcare environment. Business skills have been integrated into the curriculum to give you a competitive edge and provide a solid foundation for entry into an advanced nursing leadership role. Upon completion of this program, you will have acquired skills to better advocate for others, promote positive change, improve outcomes, and effectively collaborate within the interprofessional team.

Candidates for the Master’s in Transformational Leadership are looking to improve their communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills, advance their understanding of decision making, healthcare finance, and budgeting. Candidates are also interested in improving both patient and organizational outcomes and desire to create change within the healthcare environment.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING: FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER (MSN-FNP)
You enjoy nurturing patients back to health. You offer compassionate care for others. You give hope. If you’ve completed your BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and wish to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, this Master of Science in Nursing Program Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) track is designed for you. In this track, you will develop, test, and evaluate ideas relevant to nursing practice, along with critically examining concepts and theories in relation to health issues and nursing research. These skills will help you as you recommend constructive change and systematize ethical, moral, spiritual, and professional concepts into your sphere of influence. As a student in the FNP track, you will be prepared to care for individuals and families in diverse healthcare settings. These settings include clinics, community-based settings, long-term care facilities, and hospitals. Family Nurse Practitioners focus on health promotion and disease prevention and are trained to diagnose and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases. As a student, you will interact with interprofessional colleagues—exploring collaborative best practices. Upon completion of this track, students are educationally prepared to take the national FNP certification examination from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and/or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
POST-GRADUATE FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE (FNP-C)
You offer compassionate care for others. You desire to hone your nursing leadership skills. You are ready to expand your sphere of influence. If you are a Master’s prepared Registered Nurse (RN) with the desire to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), The Post-Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate (FNP-C) Track is designed for you. As a candidate in the FNP-C track, you will be prepared to care for individuals and families in diverse healthcare settings. As a practicing nurse, you’ll appreciate the flexibility and convenience of this online FNP certification program (Practicum hours will be fulfilled with self-selected preceptors in a practicum setting).

Ethical, moral, and spiritual concepts are integrated into the curriculum to aid in the development of advanced knowledge and skills to better prepare you for servant leadership. This track includes two practicum experiences working with approved, self-selected preceptors. The first practicum experience includes a 30-hour advanced clinical experience. The second involves a hands-on experience with a preceptor in the academic setting to complete 120-hours of practicum.
Upon completion of this track, students are educationally prepared to sit for the Certified Nurse Educator examination from the National League for Nursing.

DOCTOR OF EDUCATION: ETHICAL LEADERSHIP (ED.D.)
This program features case studies on managing change, networking with other leaders and the opportunity to solve specific problems facing your organization. With the Ed.D. in Ethical Leadership, you will explore leadership paradigms and develop a framework for how ethics, values and cultural influences transform society. This degree enables you to apply expertise to the study of ethics, leadership, and change management to strategically interact with other thought leaders to make an impact in your professional setting.
