A quick message from your Editor!

Hi guys! My name is Olivia Johnson, and for the 2018-2019 Key Club service year, I'll be your editor and historian! I'm excited to share all of the great events that go on monthly within this club through these newsletters and pictures. You and I will also stay connected through our two bulletin boards in the main hallway and the various flyers that will be sent out during the service year. I like to think that I'm a rather friendly person, so if you guys ever need anything, please feel free to contact me! I'm looking forward to changing the world with all of you wonderful people :)

A Word From our President

Hi! My name is Nicholas Lim and I am the new 2018 - 2019 Key Club president. I’ve been a member of the club since my freshman year and have had a great experience over the years. I was the recording secretary in my sophomore year and the vice president in my junior year. As such, for my final year in Key Club, I am happy to have become the president. As president, it is my job to manage the officers and plan for events. This year, I hope to better organize the club by dividing the workload throughout the officers and creating a better

connection between the officers and members. I hope to get this plan rolling quickly so that I work on finding more ways to improve the club. On a final note, please feel free to talk or contact me if you ever have any questions, concerns, or suggestions about anything, Key Club or not, and I hope that we can all have a successful new service year!

Meet the 18'-19' PHS Key Club Officers! Hello Key Clubbers! My name is Neil Khare, I am a sophomore, and I am excited to be your Vice President for this service year. In general, I will be making sure to always be there for our President and being his righthand man. I will be in charge of making sure every event runs smoothly and must work to my fullest potential to do so. I look forward to spending time with you guys for this year's service year!! Hey guys! I’m Sanjana Sure and I’m your new recording Secretary for the 2018-2019 service year. My job consists of creating event sign up sheets, sign-in sheets for general meetings, and keeping track of everyone’s hours. I am also responsible for logging in and calculating everyone’s total hours earned. I’m always available if you want email me about any problems you have with your hours or if your service wasn’t accounted for. I look forward to working with you all this service year!

Hi everyone! My name is Anjali and I'll be your corresponding Secretary for this service year. My job is to keep in touch with the different organizations that our club works with like the Daycare, Care One, SKIP, and more. I'll try my best to make sure our club has different volunteering opportunities and is properly represented. You're always welcome to let me know about any organizations or opportunities you're aware of that you think our club could work well with! Hey! I’m Sahaj Patel, your Sophmore Key Club Webmaster this year. I am in charge of maintaining all the social media accounts and making sure the website’s brand new calendar is always up to date! I joined key club freshman year and I love working with computers. I want to publicize what key club is really about through the website!

FUN AT DCON! Post-DCON syndrome is definitely real! A group of dedicated Key Clubbers made it down to Long Branch, NJ from March 23rd to March 25th for a series of important seminars and interesting workshops. Our members were able to meet and connect with Key Clubbers of different divisions which allowed for stories to be shared and inspiration to be gained. Each member was able to learn more about their role in Key Club, whether they're an officer or general member, and how they can do their part to change the world. If you, unfortunately, weren't able to make it to this year's Key Club District Convention, then definitely make it a point to come next year and learn more about servitude and Key Club! Congratulations to our very own Jacob Meth for receiving Key Club's Golden Member Award at DCON! Jacob has always shown unwavering dedication and effort within the organization, and his hard work has not gone unnoticed. Thank you, Jacob, for all that you do for Key Club. We cannot wait to see what the 18'-19' Key Club service year has in store for you!

MEMBER OF THE MONTH! Congratulations to freshman Eileen Zhang for becoming March's Member of the Month. Eileen has gone above and beyond as Freshman class project director and always puts her all into helping out during Key Club activities!

PENNIES FOR PATIENTS

Key Club began the Pennies for Patients campaign during the last week of March. The objective is to raise awareness for leukemia and lymphoma. Thank you for all of your contributions and increasing the 'HOPE" for this great fight!Â
