Mitchell Kotansky (*1962 Montréal) est un sculpteur vivant et travaillant à Montréal. En travaillant principalement le bronze, Kotansky a appris le processus technique de cire perdue et a été capable, grâce à cette expérience, de développer un style unique d’expression au travers de la sculpture.

Mitchell Kotansky (*1962 Montreal) is a sculptor living and working in Montreal. Working predominantly in bronze, Kotansky has learned the technical process of lost wax bronze casting and with this experience has been able to develop a unique style of expressive sculpture.

Le sujet de son travail est la condition humaine. Ses sculptures et dessins traitent des relations entre les individus. Le style très textural de sa technique permet à son travail d’exprimer une émotion inaccessible grâce à des méthodes traditionnelles.

The subject of his work is the human condition. His sculptures and drawings deal with relationships between individuals. The strong textural style in his technique has enabled his work to express an emotional content unachievable through traditional methods.
