Welcome to the OLLI at DU Fall Term 2017 As we are about to begin our OLLI Fall 2017 Lifelong Learning term, I wanted to remind you of a few easy ways to access information and of the September Calendar events (2nd page) Locating Important Information: First, each of the OLLI at DU sites have a web based information site. At this site, you can easily access class locations, days of the week and times of the day as well as the syllabus for many of the classes. September Events Friday, September 8th – 1:00 PM Floyd Ciruli – Eight Months into the Trump Presidency Harvest Bible Chapel We are launching our Fall term on Friday September 8th with a presentation Featuring: Floyd Ciruli, Director of the Crossley Center for Public Opinion Research. During this presentation, we will all have the opportunity to be a part of a confidential polling process. Don’t forget your smart phones or tablets!

Monday, September 11th – Classes Begin! Don’t forget to locate the syllabus for the classes you are confirmed into; complete any pre-reading requested by the Facilitator; and be ready to enjoy the learning experience.

Tuesday evening, September 19th , 6:30 – 9:00 PM The Launch of World View Mexico-A Special Celebratory Learning Event Knoebel Institute of International Studies at DU Featuring the Honorable Mexican Counsel to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region; Berenice Rendón-Talavera and Daniel Olmos Ph.D.- the Knoebel Institute of International Studies at DU. The details of this event will be forthcoming within the next week.4

WorldView Mexico – Yucatan Trip Informational Presentation Noon-time Presentations about this trip to be held on September 26th (West), 27th (South) and 28th (Central) with online registration beginning September 29th. March 10 – 18, 2018 – Archeological trip to the Yucatan Peninsula visiting the ruins of Tulum, Chichen-Itza, Ek-Balam and Uxmal; the charming colonial towns of Izamal and Valladolid; Mayan village of Tihosuco and unique “Caste Museum”; visit to old Henequen Hacienda, and finally, the capital city of Merida.

Saturday, September 30th Reducing Your Risk for Alzheimer’s and Dementia a Community Education Event Program The Newman Center OLLI at DU is collaborating with the Knoebel Center for Healthy Aging and Dementia Friendly Colorado to present this event.
